Most of the games for the computer "Quorum-64" are programmed according to the principle; one press of the "Fire" button of the manipulator - one shot. But the result will be achieved faster if you "shoot" bursts. To do this, you will have to repeatedly press the button, which distracts from observing the events taking place on the screen and tires the player. I propose to modify the manipulator by introducing the "Autofire" mode of automatic fire into it. The refinement allows you to change the rate of fire, and each "shot" is signaled by a blinking LED. An additional lithium source is not required. The required voltage is removed from the contacts of the buttons of the manipulator.

The polarity of the voltage on the buttons may be different depending on the type of joystick connector installed in the computer. In the SINCLAIR connector, the common wire of all buttons is connected to the negative, and in the KEMPSTON connector to the positive pole of the 5 V power supply. Therefore, two options for improvement are offered. Their circuits (Fig. 1 and 2) differ only in the polarity of the diodes and the structure of the transistor.

AUTOFIRE in a computer manipulator

The buttons SB1-SB5 and the fork XP1 are the nodes of the manipulator being finalized. A pulse generator is assembled on the DD1 chip. Inputs 12 and 13 of its unused element must be connected to one of the power outputs (7 or 14). The voltage in the power circuit comes from the open contacts of the buttons SB 1-SB4 through the diodes VD1-VD4. For the generator to work, it is enough that at any time at least one of the buttons remains unpressed. The emitter-collector section of the transistor VT1 is connected in parallel to the SB5 button. When the SA1 switch is closed, the generator pulses periodically open the transistor, simulating a button press. Simultaneously with the opening of the transistor, the HL1 LED lights up. signaling a "shot". The pulse repetition rate, which determines the rate of "shooting", is regulated by a variable resistor R2. By selecting the value of R1, you can change the adjustment limits.

Instead of the K561LA7 microcircuit, the K561LE5 is suitable without changing the circuit. Diodes VD1-VD4 and transistor VT1 - any low-power silicon. Naturally, when replacing a transistor, its structure should be taken into account. If there are several LEDs of the same or different types, install the one in the manipulator. which glows brighter. It is not recommended to reduce the resistance of the resistor R3 to increase the brightness. When the LED is lit, the allowable current in the circuits of the SB1-SB4 buttons will be exceeded (0.34 mA - for SINCLAIR. 3.5 mA - for KEMPSTON). the computer will fix their circuit and the game will become impossible. In extreme cases, the LED can be abandoned.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>
