The "armed" alarm is activated 3 ... 5 minutes after the SA1 "On" toggle switch is closed, so that during this time you can safely leave the apartment and close the door. When the door is opened, it also works with a delay sufficient to turn off the device (20...30 s).

When the SA1 toggle switch is turned on, the mains voltage is supplied to the power supply unit (T1, VD1 ... VD4, C1), from which a constant voltage of 24 V is supplied to the time relay. After 3 ... 5 minutes (the exposure time depends on the resistance of the resistor R2 and the capacitance of the capacitor C2), the voltage on C2 reaches the opening voltage of the zener diode VD6, VT1 opens and relay K1 is activated. With contacts K1.1, it is self-locking, and through K1.2 it supplies power to relay K2, connected in series with the contacts on the front door of the apartment. Now, even with a short opening of the door (closing B1), relay K2 is activated, blocks itself with contacts K2.1, and through contacts K2.2 and K2.3 supplies power to the second time relay, similar to the first. Now, if the SA1 toggle switch is not turned off in time, after 20 s (depending on the resistance R4 and the capacitance C3), relay K3 will work, contacts K3.1 will be blocked, and contacts K3.2 ... K3.4 will turn on the signaling device. When the power is turned off with the SA1 toggle switch, the device returns to its original state. Resistors R1, R3 and diodes VD5 and VD8 serve to quickly discharge the capacitors in the time relay after the power is turned off. Relay K1 ... KZ - type RES-22 or others, with windings for 24 V. Transistors VT1 and VT2 - any with a maximum allowable voltage of at least 24 V.

Establishing the system is reduced to the selection of ratings R2, C2 and R4, C3 to set the required response time.

As a signaling device, you can use a "howler" or a loud bell. A good effect will also be the connection of a stroboscope on an MTX-90 lamp. You can also use a simple generator on a relay, the contacts of which are connected in parallel with the light switch, for example, in the hallway, so that the light turns on and off at a frequency of 1 ... 2 Hz.

With an unexpected simultaneous activation of calls, a strobe light or a "blinking light", the first thing the "uninvited guests" will think about is to get out of the apartment as quickly as possible.

With a large number of all kinds of calls, the K3 relay will have to be replaced with another one with more powerful contacts, or another, more powerful one, which, in turn, will control signaling devices, will be switched on through its contacts.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Sleeping before bed improves memory 06.02.2019

Children are usually rocked before bed so that they fall asleep faster. But, as experiments show, lulling helps to sleep not only for children, but also for adults. Researchers from the Universities of Geneva and Lausanne invited 18 volunteers to spend three nights in the laboratory. On the first night, they simply got used to the new environment, and on the other two, some participants in the experiment began to rock on a special bed before going to bed, while others continued to sleep as usual.

Those who were rocked fell asleep faster, slept longer, their sleep was deeper. And their memory also improved: in the morning, those who were rocked, remembered better the pairs of words that they were asked to learn before going to bed.

Brain activity during sleep was recorded using electroencephalography. It turned out that rhythmic motion sickness helps to synchronize neural activity in thalamocortical neural networks, which are actively involved in the regulation of sleep and the transformation of memory from short-term to long-term.
