ENCYCLOPEDIA OF RADIO ELECTRONICS AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING Slot machine Fortune. Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering / Beginner radio amateur At school evenings, discos and other public events, various prizes are often raffled off, for which each prize is assigned a number, and participants pull out numbered chips from a drum or bag. If the chip number matches the prize number, the participant receives it. To make the game more interesting, Marina Ponomareva and Alexander Vasin developed an electronic version of the lottery and called it "Fortuna". It implements all the functions necessary for an unbiased selection of winning numbers. The basis of the device (Fig. 8) are three generators made on DD1, DD2 microcircuits and tuned to different frequencies: 8, 12, 32 kHz. Three identical counting and indication units are connected to the generators, which include binary counters DD3-DD5, decoders DD6-DD8 and gas-discharge indicators HG1-HG3. The device is powered by a rectifier made on a step-down transformer T1, the power to the microcircuits comes from the stabilizer on the DA1 microcircuit. The indicator anodes are powered from the mains through a rectifier on the VD2 diode. Before the game, it is necessary to agree on the number of sessions and the order of the "move" of the players. After switching on the supply voltage, a set of numbers will appear on the indicators. It is necessary to reset the indicators with the SB2 button so that zeros appear on them, and then press the Start button (SB1). A high level signal will allow all generators to run simultaneously. Clock pulses will begin to arrive at the inputs of the counters, and a binary code corresponding to the numbers 0, 1,2, 3 will appear at their outputs. This code is fed to the inputs of the decoders. After some time, the player must release the SB1 button, causing the generators to stop working and, accordingly, stop the pulse count. In this case, a low level will appear on one of the four outputs of the decoders, which will be displayed on the digital indicators. The device can use chips of the K155, K555 or KR1533 series. The VD1 diode bridge is for a voltage of 12 V and a current of at least 500 mA, the VD2 diode is any low-power one that allows a reverse voltage of at least 300 V. The transformer has a power of 10 W or more, its primary winding must be rated for 220 V, and the secondary - for 9 V at a load current of 500 mA. As in the previous design, the parts of the device were mounted in a housing from Elektronika-155, the back wall of which was turned into a bottom (Fig. 9). For stability, a steel bar bracket was attached to the bottom so that the front panel of the "Fortuna" is perpendicular to the plane of the table. A cardboard with the rules of the game is pasted on the front panel, which can be as follows: "Players take turns pressing the reset button, and then the start button located on the remote control. After releasing the start button after a while, you can see a number on the screen. By comparing it with numbers, presented in the table, it will be possible to find out the number of points won. The winner is the one who scores the most points. " The number of points awarded is given for the following numbers: 999 - 80 points, 777 - 60, 333 - 50, 000 - 40. 970 - 35, 99 - 30, 77 - 25, 33 - 15, 00 - 10, 0 - 5. Of course, the more points scored, the more valuable prize the lottery participant receives. But other conditions are quite likely, which are developed by the hosts themselves.
