The radio broadcasting network can be used as a power source for a security device that is triggered when the security loop is broken (a thin wire encircling the protected object).

After listening to the radio, you must move the switch SA1 (any two positions and four directions) to the "Protection" position. In this case, the transistor VT1 is closed, since its emitter and base are short-circuited by a Shl cable.

Security device on the subscriber loudspeaker

The current from the radio network in standby mode is practically not consumed.

After the loop breaks, the Shl transistor VT1 opens with a base current through the resistor R2 from the voltage received from the radio network using a rectifier (diodes VD1 ... VD4) and capacitor C1. The rectified and smoothed voltage from the radio network through the transistor VT1 is fed to an asymmetric multivibrator on the elements VT2, T1, R3, R4, C2. The multivibrator uses positive feedback through the transformer T1 of the subscriber loudspeaker. After the manufacture of the device, in the absence of self-excitation, it is necessary to swap the ends of one of the windings of the transformer T1. The frequency of the audible alarm signal is determined mainly by the capacitance of the capacitor C2. In alarm mode, the device from the 30 V radio network consumes no more current than when listening to radio broadcasts.

In the absence of a radio network (for example, when using the device in a country house), it is necessary to connect a power source with a voltage of 1 ... 5 V (of any polarity) to the XP14 plug. In standby mode, the device consumes a current of about 9 μA at a supply voltage of 40 V, and about 2 mA in alarm mode.

If the device will not be used to listen to the radio, then RP1 and SA1 can be omitted from the circuit by replacing the normally closed contacts of SA1 with wires (in the diagram, the SA1 switch is shown in the "Security" position).

Transistors (for example, type KT315V) must be with a maximum allowable emitter-collector voltage of at least 30 V. Capacitors and diodes - also with an allowable voltage of at least 30 V.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Global organic shutter image sensor 22.02.2018

The global shutter function is based on the use of an organic photoconductive film (OPF). It is said to be the industry's first sensor of its kind.

Panasonic has presented an interesting development in the field of image sensors. A Japanese company has created a global shutter image sensor capable of generating 8K video (36 MP) at a frame rate of 60 fps

According to the manufacturer, the separation of the photoelectric conversion and other circuits in the OPF CMOS sensor made it possible to implement a highly effective noise suppression technology. The presence of a global shutter eliminates the effect of rolling shutter. Since the light sensitivity of the film depends on the applied voltage, the effect of a neutral density filter can be reproduced.
