ENCYCLOPEDIA OF RADIO ELECTRONICS AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING Magnetic field treatment device. Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering Encyclopedia of radio electronics and electrical engineering / Electronics in medicine Experiments with treatment with a magnetic field are currently becoming relevant. Previously, magnetic bracelets were recommended for this purpose. Although the effect of their use is still controversial, many people constantly use them. Recently, small-sized electronic devices have been developed that can be worn in the same way as magnetic bracelets, but affecting the body with an alternating field of certain frequencies. These easy-to-use devices are used as an anesthetic for headaches and migraines, as a stimulant for neurosis and overwork, as well as for relieving rheumatic pains, etc. The frequency of the magnetic field is selected individually using the appropriate switches. Usually, lower frequencies are used to relieve rheumatic pains, and higher frequencies are used for headaches. The minimum daily session time is 15 minutes. The miniature design of the device makes it possible to attach it with a belt to the arm, leg or other parts of the body. The proposed version of the device for treatment with a magnetic field (Fig. 1) contains one microcircuit - the timer KR1006VI1. The timer is used to generate pulse signals of the required frequencies. Supply voltage Up=5...16 V, instability of the repetition period of the generated pulse signals from the supply voltage - 0,01% [I]. The timer is made using bipolar technology, and its powerful output stage provides current Iout = 200 mA.
The operation of the circuit (Fig. 1) can be explained as follows. In the initial state, the capacitor C2 is discharged. It is charged through resistors R1, R2, R3. The voltage on the capacitor increases exponentially, approaching Up. When the voltage reaches 0,7Up, the internal transistor of the microcircuit fires and switches the trigger, which causes a low level voltage at pin 3. Now the capacitor is discharged through the resistors R1, R2, R3 and the voltage decreases to a value of 0,3 Up. At this point, the flip-flop returns to its original state, and pin 3 is set high. The pulse duration ti and pause tp at the output are ti=tp= 0,69 R...C2, where R is the total value of the included resistors.
By switching switches S1, S2 and S3, it is possible to obtain seven values of the frequency ratings of the pulse signals indicated in the table. If it is necessary to accurately set the frequencies, the values of the resistors R1, R2, R3 are selected by performing them from two series-connected resistors. Figure 2 shows the printed circuit board of the device with a size of 20x50 mm. The L1 electromagnet has a size of 12,5x22 mm and contains 4300 turns of PEL 0,09 wire. The core of the electromagnet is soft magnetic steel (Fig. 3).
The inductance of the assembled electromagnet is 270 mH, the resistance to direct current is 300 ohms. As an electromagnet, you can use electromagnets from low-resistance small-sized relays, for example, RES-6, RF passport 0.452.104. The device is powered by a voltage of 5V, 9V or 15V - depending on the recommended dose, and consumes a current of 15, 30 or 50 mA, respectively. Literature 1. Pukhalsky G.I., Novoseltseva T.Ya.
