Electronic devices Installation on a car of any device that increases traffic safety is welcome. In particular, reversing traffic signaling devices make it possible to improve the mutual orientation of pedestrians and drivers. A simple similar device is offered by the author of the article published here. Many foreign-made cars and some models of domestic cars are already equipped with speech sound signaling devices that warn pedestrians about the movement of vehicles in reverse. Often, however, the sound quality of the warning phrase is such that few people manage to make out its content, even if it sounds in Russian. And if it sounds in a foreign language, it is simply incomprehensible to most pedestrians. In my opinion, a tone or, even better, a three-tone signal is more likely to attract the attention of a pedestrian. In addition, it is not difficult to manufacture such a device. In the signaling device, the scheme of which is shown in Fig. 1, a specialized microcircuit KR1008VZh4 was used, designed for use in the calling node of a telephone set. The microcircuit consists of two generators - a clock and a tone, a controlled frequency divider, a counter of sound packets and a control unit. The tone generator generates the voltage of the base frequency, which can be changed by the appropriate choice of the ratings of the R4C4 frequency setting circuit. With the ratings of these elements indicated in the diagram, the tone frequency is approximately 50 kHz. The controlled frequency divider can operate with three alternating fixed division ratios. The order of their alternation (tonal combination of parcels) is determined by applying certain voltage levels to the inputs N1, N2 of the microcircuit. The speed of interleaving of parcels depends on the clock frequency, which is set by choosing the ratings of the R3C3 circuit. The ratings indicated in the diagram correspond to a frequency of about 0,3 Hz. The generated sequence of tone signals from the output L1 is fed to the base of the transistor VT1 of the current amplifier, the load of which is the dynamic head BF1. More detailed information about the design and operation of the KR1008VZh4 microcircuit can be found in the book by Kizlyuk A. and Sakov A. "A guide to the construction and repair of telephone sets of foreign and domestic production." - M., 1993 Power is supplied to the microcircuit from the parametric stabilizer VD3R1, since the frequency of the generators is highly dependent on the supply voltage. The amplifier on the transistor VT1 is powered by on-board voltage to obtain a greater sound volume. Diode VD1 protects the signaling device from being connected to the on-board network in the wrong polarity. All parts of the device, except for the dynamic head BF1, are mounted on a printed circuit board made of foil fiberglass 1 mm thick. The drawing of the board is shown in fig. 2. The microcircuit is soldered from the side of the printed conductors. We can replace the KD105B diode with any of this series. Any low-power zener diode for a voltage of 9 ... 10 V is suitable. The dynamic head can be used with any power of 1 or 2 W with a coil resistance of 6,5 ... 8 ohms. The board and dynamic head are installed in a plastic box of suitable dimensions and fixed in the trunk of a car. Connect the signaling device to the lamp of the lamp, signaling the inclusion of reverse gear. The establishment of the signaling device begins with the installation of the optimal operating mode of the current amplifier on the transistor VT1. To do this, select the resistor R5 so that at an acceptable signal volume the transistor does not overheat. In conclusion, if necessary, adjust the frequency of the tone and clock generators by selecting resistors R4 and R3, respectively. Author: R.
