Security devices are very common, which allow you to turn on sound signals in case an intruder enters the car interior. In some cases, it is convenient to protect a car or motorcycle with a two-wire security loop made of a thin wire, bare and inconspicuously laid around the vehicle, or attached to it. Touching such a loop or a break in one of its wires causes the alarm to go off.

Car security device

The figure shows a diagram of such a device. It consists of a measuring bridge on resistors R1 ... R4, a diode bridge V1 ... V4, a transistor V5, the load of which is the relay winding K1. Resistor R1 is connected to the end of the security loop. When the loop is closed when the wires are broken, the measuring bridge is unbalanced and voltage appears between points A and B. Thanks to the diode bridge, this voltage is always supplied to the base of the transistor V5 with a negative polarity, while the transistor V5 opens, relay K1 is activated and closes the alarm circuit with its contacts.

The device is powered by two sources: element E1 in the diagonal of the bridge with a voltage of 1,5 V and battery B1 with a voltage of 9 ... 12 V. To balance the measuring bridge, resistor R2 is used, the resistance of which should be approximately 1,2 ... 1,5 times higher than the resistance of resistors R1, R3, R4. For these resistors, the resistance spread should not exceed 10%, and their value is selected within 3 ... 10 kOhm. The resistance of the resistor R5 is equal to the resistance of the measuring bridge resistors. The device can use the relay RES-6 (passport RFO.452.116 or RFO 452. 136), RES-9 (passport RS4.542.202), RES-10 (passport RS4.524.303 or RS4.524.308), RES-15 (passport RS4 591.002 or RS4.591.003), R9S-34 (passport RS4.524.373 or RS4.524.378), etc.

In standby mode, the device consumes a very small current (0,2 ... 0,5 mA), which ensures continuous use of voltage sources such as "Mars", "Saturn" for a long time (tens of days).

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Beam drills concrete 30.11.2002

Professor Eli Jerby and his colleagues at Tel Aviv University in Israel have created a ray gun that uses microwaves to make holes in concrete, rock or glass.

The gun focuses microwave radiation at some depth within the material to be drilled. The material softens, so the tip of the drill can easily pass into it, forming a hole.

Unlike mechanical drills, microwave drills do not have any rapidly rotating parts and at the same time do not create mechanical friction, and therefore no dust. On the other hand, the novelty has one drawback - dangerous radiation, which requires security measures.
