The DA7050 microcircuit - excellent frequency characteristics, reverse polarity protection, low supply voltage and current consumption, absolute unpretentiousness in operation - is a godsend for developers of portable radio equipment.

Specifications of power amplifiers on TDA7050:

  • Rated output power.......2х75 mW, 150 mW in bridge connection
  • The coefficient of non-linear distortion is not more than ....... 10%
  • Input impedance......2 mOm
  • Load impedance......32 ohm per stereo channel, 64 ohm bridged
  • Current consumption ....... no more than 6mA
  • Supply voltage ....... 1,8-6V

The top circuit is for stereo signal amplification. Modern stereo headphones are connected as a load. The bridging of the microcircuit (Fig. 2) allows you to get 150 mW at the output, which makes it possible to connect a small speaker. If its resistance is less than indicated in the diagram, connect a resistor in series, the total resistance of the speaker and the resistor should be 64Om. Otherwise there will be big distortions. Resistors R1 and R4 adjust the volume. The topmost circuit uses a dual variable resistor to control the volume.

Most stereo telephones greatly attenuate low audio frequencies when playing signals. To compensate for this shortcoming, many companies introduce Bass Boost systems into their products. For those who want to use this improvement to improve sound quality, here is a schematic diagram of a simple passive Bass Boost (Fig. 3).

For each channel, assemble one such device and connect to pins 2 and 3 of the microcircuit. Resistor R1 controls the volume, switch S1 - on / off Bass Boost (off in the diagram). Set the switch so that the effect is turned on / off simultaneously for two stereo channels.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

New temperature sensor for computer memory modules 26.12.2006

Maxim Integrated Products introduced the MAX6604, a small, low-cost temperature sensor designed to monitor the thermal behavior of DDR memory modules.

This device measures temperature with an accuracy of +1°C, converts the measured value into digital format and transmits it via a PC-compatible interface. The MAX6604 monitors the temperature continuously and updates the data eight times per second. This method improves performance by providing a highly accurate measurement of module temperature. Analogues that use readings from sensors installed on motherboards to estimate the temperature of memory modules are much less accurate. The MAX6604 is available in miniature TDFN and TSSOP packages.

The device contains a three-address bus, which provides a choice of eight possible addresses. The combination of these features makes the MAX6604 an ideal choice for high performance notebook memory modules. The MAX6604 operates in a temperature range of -20...125°C and a supply voltage of 3,0...5,5 V. The LP3906 module is available in a 4x5mm 24-pin package.

The device has two high-efficiency regulators with a working current of 1,5 A and linear regulators with a working current of 300 A with a PC-compatible interface. The voltage regulators have a dynamically programmable voltage level from 0,8 V to 3,5 V with an efficiency of 96%. Linear regulators have a dynamically programmable wide-output voltage level from 1V to 3,5V.

Applications: broadband processors, peripheral processors (video and audio), I/O power, digital signal processors, programmable logic chips.
