I think every audio enthusiast who has to go by car wants to have good sound not only at home but also in his car. Unfortunately, high-quality car audio is not as cheap as we would like. Even if the car already has an audio system, I think every music lover will want to add a subwoofer to it.

I turned out to be such a music lover. I didn’t have money for a high-quality amplifier from leading car audio companies such as Magnat, JBL, Focal, Alpine, which costs XXX (and it’s not my own car, but my father’s), so it was decided to quickly make an inexpensive amplifier for a subwoofer in a car . Without thinking for a long time, the TDA1562Q chip was chosen, which operates on a 12V unipolar power supply and, according to the manufacturer, is capable of delivering 70W of power (actually somewhere around 40). 2 chips were purchased because I decided to make a stereo amplifier. The switching circuit is shown in the figure. I drew it myself, so if there are mistakes, forgive me.

There is nothing special in the scheme. It was taken from one of the articles on this site. And yet there is one stupidity in the circuit, I threw out the "soft start", but it can be easily entered, this is provided on the printed circuit board. Each of the amplifier channels is assembled on a separate board. The photo shows one of them.

You can take it in Sprint Layout 4.0 format here.

Detail side markings. It may not be the best markup, but it works 100%. All tracks need to be made thicker, especially the food tracks, since my signet is not yet fully finished.

The microcircuits are mounted on radiators with a rather small dissipation area, which is justified by the use of a small cooler. (In practice, this turned out to be enough). The body of the amplifier is made from MDF with a thickness of about 7 mm. The top cover was made removable. The hull is covered with sheathing materials of two types. Here is a view of the amplifier without the top cover.

The cooler is located on the front panel, there is also a power switch, volume control, power and H mode indicators. Here is a general view of the amplifier from the front:

On the rear panel there is a cooler switch, power and speaker output terminals, as well as line input sockets. Also on the back panel there is a small hole for good air circulation inside the case. The rear view of the amplifier is shown in the photo.

I can’t say anything special about the sound of the amplifier, the most common microchip sound. Not particularly good, but not that bad either. By connecting the amplifier to the linear output to the subwoofer in the radio and loading the subwoofer with 75GDN, I really heard low frequencies in the car. But still not what I wanted, I added another sub to the second channel. Oh, even a good sound pressure has already appeared here, of course, it’s not possible to compete in SPL competitions, but for an initial car audio it may well go. And the price is far from XXX. So I recommend making a subwoofer on two dynos (at least 35GDN) and include each one in your amplifier channel. Of course, the amplifier can be used not only for a subwoofer, but also for, for example, rear speakers. Believe me, he plays better than the regular amplifier of the car radio.

I wish you success! For questions, advice write.

The world's tallest astronomical observatory opened 04.05.2024

Exploring space and its mysteries is a task that attracts the attention of astronomers from all over the world. In the fresh air of the high mountains, far from city light pollution, the stars and planets reveal their secrets with greater clarity. A new page is opening in the history of astronomy with the opening of the world's highest astronomical observatory - the Atacama Observatory of the University of Tokyo. The Atacama Observatory, located at an altitude of 5640 meters above sea level, opens up new opportunities for astronomers in the study of space. This site has become the highest location for a ground-based telescope, providing researchers with a unique tool for studying infrared waves in the Universe. Although the high altitude location provides clearer skies and less interference from the atmosphere, building an observatory on a high mountain poses enormous difficulties and challenges. However, despite the difficulties, the new observatory opens up broad research prospects for astronomers. ... >>

Controlling objects using air currents 04.05.2024

The development of robotics continues to open up new prospects for us in the field of automation and control of various objects. Recently, Finnish scientists presented an innovative approach to controlling humanoid robots using air currents. This method promises to revolutionize the way objects are manipulated and open new horizons in the field of robotics. The idea of controlling objects using air currents is not new, but until recently, implementing such concepts remained a challenge. Finnish researchers have developed an innovative method that allows robots to manipulate objects using special air jets as "air fingers". The air flow control algorithm, developed by a team of specialists, is based on a thorough study of the movement of objects in the air flow. The air jet control system, carried out using special motors, allows you to direct objects without resorting to physical ... >>

Purebred dogs get sick no more often than purebred dogs 03.05.2024

Caring for the health of our pets is an important aspect of the life of every dog owner. However, there is a common assumption that purebred dogs are more susceptible to diseases compared to mixed dogs. New research led by researchers at the Texas School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences brings new perspective to this question. A study conducted by the Dog Aging Project (DAP) of more than 27 companion dogs found that purebred and mixed dogs were generally equally likely to experience various diseases. Although some breeds may be more susceptible to certain diseases, the overall diagnosis rate is virtually the same between both groups. The Dog Aging Project's chief veterinarian, Dr. Keith Creevy, notes that there are several well-known diseases that are more common in certain breeds of dogs, which supports the notion that purebred dogs are more susceptible to disease. ... >>

Laptop without power supply 18.05.2010

Engineers from the Japanese company Fujitsu report that replacing silicon transistors in a laptop power supply with gallium nitride transistors will reduce the size of this block by ten times and fit it into a laptop case instead of making the power supply in a separate box, as it is now.

In addition, energy consumption will be reduced. A large server center, transferred to a similar power scheme, can save 12% of energy.

The first laptops with built-in power supply may appear as early as 2011.

Power must be supplied to the 16th leg to turn on the H-mode, otherwise 70 watts cannot be pulled out.
