Readers are offered one version of the amplifier, in which a typical TDA7294 switching circuit is used. The main technical characteristics of the amplifier (Fig. 1) are as follows: input impedance - 22 kOhm; input voltage - 750 mV; rated output power at a load of 4 ohms and with a harmonic coefficient of 0,5% - 70 W; reproducible frequency range - 20...20000 Hz; supply voltage - ±27 V; quiescent current - 60 mA. The amplifier has built-in thermal protection, as well as protection against overloads and short circuits in the load. The SA1 switch is used to "soft" turn on the amplifier. The device can be powered from a bipolar unstabilized source, the circuit of which is shown in fig. 2. The power of the network transformer is 250 V-A, the secondary windings must be rated for a current of at least 5 A.

The parts of the amplifier are mounted on a printed circuit board (Fig. 3) made of double-sided foil fiberglass with dimensions of 50x35 mm; the assembled board is shown in fig. 4. Resistors MLT-0.25, capacitors C4-C7, SU - imported analogues K50-35 and K73-17 (the rest) were used for installation. As SA1, any small-sized push-button switch is applicable.

The loudspeaker head is broadband with an impedance of 4 ohms and a power of at least 50 watts. The microcircuit itself must be installed on a heat sink with an area of 600 cmXNUMX.

For better heat transfer, its body should be lubricated with a thin layer of heat-conducting paste. Since the microcircuit case is connected to the negative power wire, it must be isolated from the amplifier case.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

SONY and TOSHIBA disagree on video format 15.06.2005

Talks in Tokyo between Japanese giants Matsushita, Sony and Toshiba about a future unified next-generation DVD format are likely deadlocked.

The talks brought together 230 representatives from 80 Blu-ray companies and 120 delegates from 64 DVD HD companies. The other day (May 16), two separate meetings were held behind closed doors, as a result of which it became clear that, most likely, each manufacturer will continue to go its own way.

Kayoshi Nishitani, senior vice president of Sony, acknowledged that the companies are unable to reach an agreement. Yoshihide Fujii, president and chief executive officer of Toshiba Digital Media Network Co., said that if the merger talks condemned both technologies as equals, everything would be fine. But if Sony insists on a 0,1mm disc format, that's their problem...

Negotiations are still ongoing. HD DVD Promotion Group has confirmed that it is going to launch production this year.
