Bright colored LEDs from Cree 29.05.2013

Cree has announced the market availability of XLamp XP-E2 color LEDs. According to the developers, the new products are 88% brighter than alternative high-power solutions.

XLamp XP-E2 LEDs use SC Technology. They are optically compatible with their predecessors, the XP-E, in the same compact form factor (3,45mm x 3,45mm). At the same time, their brightness per 1 W and $ 1 is much higher.

XLamp XP-E2 devices are characterized by a light output of 109 lumens for blue, 253 lumens for green, 203 lumens for yellow, 193 lumens for red-orange. Cree is currently offering trial samples of its new LEDs, with mass production starting soon.
