Here are some recipes chemical bleaching wax.

Bleaching with potassium permanganate salt

Melt 100 wt. hours of wax and add a solution of 2 wt. hours of potassium permanganate salt in 50 wt. hours of water. The mixture is thoroughly mixed and left in a water bath for a day; after this time, add to the mixture 3 wt. h. carbonic soda, stirred until the soda is dissolved, and then add jari stirring 4 wt. including hydrochloric acid. After that, the mixture is allowed to stand for some time, and then the wax is washed with hot water until traces of hydrochloric acid are removed (litmus paper should not turn red). The bleached melted wax is filtered through a hot cloth (using a steam funnel).

Bleaching with two-chromium potassium salt (chromic peak)

Sulfuric acid is diluted with two volumes of water (acid is slowly poured into water, and not vice versa), wax is put into this solution and heated to a boil. Dichromic potassium salt is added to the boiling solution in small portions while stirring. The amount of the total potassium dichromium salt should be 5% by weight of the wax. The mixture is boiled for several hours, then cooled and the hardened wax circle is removed, which is washed first with a weak solution of sulfuric acid, and then with clean water. The wax is completely white.

Hydrogen peroxide bleaching

Wax cut into small shavings (shavings can be obtained by pouring melted wax in a thin stream into cold water) is placed in a 5-7% hydrogen peroxide solution. To hydrogen peroxide you need to add a small amount of strong ammonia. Bleaching is carried out at a temperature of 50 °C and continues for several days. It is useful to add borax to the hydrogen peroxide solution. Bleaching with hydrogen peroxide produces a good product, not much different from wax bleached by sunlight.

In this method, wax, melted or dissolved in gasoline or benzene, is filtered through a layer of heated alumina. It is also possible to conduct bleaching by mixing the molten wax with alumina and subsequent settling. Alumina for bleaching is prepared from aluminum amalgam. The ware is applied ceramic and enameled.
