For refreshment room air by spraying, floral colognes, coniferous aromatic solutions and tinctures are used.

For light room disinfection, which simultaneously refreshes the air of the room, ordinary colognes and coniferous compounds mixed with eucalyptus oil, formalin or chinosol are used. Of these, the most effective are the following compositions:

Eucalyptus Quinosol Essence

  • Solution of eucalyptus oil 10% 250 g;
  • Chinozola 150 g;
  • Wine alcohol 1 kg;
  • Water 200 g.

coniferous essence

  • Essential oil from pine needles 100 g;
  • Essential oil from juniper berries 15 g;
  • Peruvian balsam 25 g.

Coniferous alcohol

  • Wine alcohol 100 g;
  • Essential oil from fir cones 40 g;
  • Benzoin essence 6 g;
  • Water 200 g.

Deodorizer

The deodorizer is a fused, but easily crumbling mass, which is intended to drown out the bad smell. The deodorizer is placed in latrines and public places either in pieces or enclosed in metal cylindrical boxes open on both sides. The deodorizer in its composition and action is much lower than the ozonator, the recipe of which is placed further, and it is not recommended to use it in residential premises. Its usual purpose is station and public latrines.

The cheap mass of deodorizer is technical naphthalene containing an admixture of creosol. To this naphthalene is added a small percentage (about 0,1%) of menthol or borneol (to reduce the cost of the product, you can do without these additions). This mixture or pure naphthalene is moistened with fir oil. The amount of fir oil is taken at your discretion. If you want to get a mass in the form of a stone, then naphthalene needs to be melted with an admixture of fir oil (it melts at a temperature of 80-85 ° C) and poured into appropriate molds, possibly tin ones with hinged walls. Sometimes a few drops of mint oil are also added.

Ozonator

The ozonator is a completely harmless mass, and therefore its use in residential premises is completely safe. Compose it as follows:

30 g of pine oil (and even better, 15 g of fir and pine oil) are mixed with 40 g of eucalyptus oil, 10 g of lavender oil, 10 g of celery oil (essential oil from celery) and 1 liter of wine alcohol. A little water is added to the resulting mixture and sawdust is thoroughly moistened with this liquid.

The sawdust is placed in tin boxes with holes to facilitate evaporation. It is also good to wrap the sawdust in a flannel pad, which is placed in a metal flat box with holes. You can do without sawdust by impregnating unglued paper with the composition, and the easiest way is to fill open flat jars with this liquid.

Speaking about the ozonizer, one must, of course, keep in mind that the only effective means of actual air freshening is ventilation and ventilation. In the absence of a good exhaust system, air ozonation is best and most fully achieved only by electric ozonizers.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Glass developed to reduce energy consumption and regulate room temperature 16.04.2021

Scientists at the University of Kassel have developed a glass that reduces energy consumption and regulates the temperature in the room.

The micromirror array is invulnerable to wind, window washing, or any weather because it sits in the space between the window glass filled with a gas such as argon or krypton. Glazing provides free solar heat in winter and prevents overheating in summer, while letting in natural daylight, saving energy by up to 35%, significantly reducing CO2 emissions by up to 30% and reducing the use of steel and concrete in multi-storey buildings by 10%.

If there is no user indoors in summer, all mirrors switch vertically, keeping the sun's heat outside, this saves energy by minimizing heat transfer. When sensors detect the user's presence, the overhead mirrors open and reflect daylight onto the ceiling. The room stays cool, saving energy on air conditioning.

Parts of the room that are further away from the window can be effectively illuminated with daylight, saving energy on artificial lighting.

If there is no user in winter, all mirrors open and collect energy by reflecting solar radiation onto the wall, acting as a solar heater. This saves energy for heating. Once the sensors detect the user's presence, all mirrors redirect all solar energy to the ceiling to minimize glare. Now the ceiling acts as a solar heater, saving heat energy.

The MEMS micromirrors are integrated into the insulating glazing and controlled by an electronic system. The orientation of the mirrors is controlled by the voltage between the respective electrodes. Motion sensors in the room determine the number, position and movement of users in the room.
