For washing hair Most people use various shampoos, which mainly consist of ordinary soaps in powder form with some alkaline admixture, such as potash, borax, soda ash, sodium bicarbonate, etc.

When used, a small amount of this mixture is diluted in a large amount of water, so that the percentage of soap is very small. When making these powders, care should be taken to ensure that the soap powder and alkalis are completely dry and stored in a dry place; Otherwise, the powders absorb moisture, which saturates the paper bags, and the item becomes unsalable.

Egg shampoo

90 parts of dried chicken egg white (albumin) are poured into a solution of 20 parts of sodium hydroxide in 50 parts of distilled water and left to stand until dissolved, after which it is evaporated to dryness in a water bath. The resulting residue is mixed with 500 parts of soap powder. At the same time, 250 parts of sodium bicarbonate salt, 10 parts of stearic acid, 10 parts of starch, 100 parts of potash are mixed in another vessel and added to the first completely dry mixture.

Shampoo "Schwarzkopf" in powder

  • 8 parts soap powder;
  • 2 parts sodium carbonate;
  • perfume as desired.

English shampoo "Windsor"

  • 85 parts soap powder;
  • 10 parts of sodium carbonate;
  • 5 parts borax powder;
  • perfume as desired.

Along with shampoo in powder, shampoo is also used in the form of liquid, which is foaming water with a slight alcohol content. Lately, tar preparations like Pixaphone have become very popular. But tar in its natural form turned out to be unsuitable for this purpose, especially because of its color, since only light-colored preparations are suitable for washing hair and scalp. Therefore, they began to use chemically purified tar, known as anthrasol. It combines all the advantages of tar without its disadvantages, especially in terms of color. The basis of the pixaphone is neutral potassium soap, to which castor oil, alcohol and glycerin are added. The amount of methrasol should not exceed 5%. If it turns out that the finished pixaphone has an alkaline reaction, then you should add a little castor oil, which has the property of binding alkalis. You can perfume your pixaphone with artificial geranium oil combined with vanillin and orange oil. You only need to take strong perfume to drown out the specific smell of mezzanine. Liquid egg shampoo for hair. Take 20 fresh egg yolks, beat them into foam, dilute them in 200 parts of rose water, then add 5 parts of borax and perfume as desired, dissolve and filter through a canvas.

Honey water for washing hair (Honey water)

  • 100 parts of bee honey;
  • 200 parts of vodka;
  • 1000 parts of rose water;
  • 40 pieces of borax;
  • 1 part coumarin.

Menthol hair wash (Eiskopfwasser)

This liquid is especially pleasant in the summer, as thanks to the addition of menthol it gives a feeling of coolness. Just don’t put too much menthol, as a large amount causes skin irritation. When drinking, you should also not dilute the liquid with too much water, since in this case the menthol will be released again and will float on the surface of the liquid.

Here is the recipe for menthol liquid:

  • 250 parts soap powder;
  • 150 pieces of cologne;
  • 50 pieces of borax;
  • 10 parts menthol.

Hair washing liquid

  • Potash 140 g;
  • Sassafras oil 500 g;
  • Extract from orange flowers 8 l;
  • Alcohol 2 liters.

The listed substances are mixed and infused for a month. Potash and alcohol cleanse and degrease hair.

Soapy liquid for washing hair

Medical soap or white coconut oil soap 256 g

  • Ammonia 100 g;
  • Rose water 1600 g;
  • Glycerin 1 kg;
  • Alcohol (90°) 1 kg;
  • Geranium oil 20 g;
  • Bergamot oil 10 g;
  • Bitter almond oil 20 drops.

Liquid shampoo with coconut oil

  • Coconut oil 400 g;
  • Caustic potash (90%) 500 g;
  • Alcohol 400 g;
  • Glycerin 400 g;
  • Cold water 2 l;
  • Hot water 20 l.

Dissolve caustic potassium in 2 liters of cold water. When dissolved, the solution will heat up due to a chemical reaction. Leave to stand until the solution has cooled completely. Then the coconut oil is heated to 73 °C and the potassium hydroxide solution is heated again to the same temperature, after which the heated oil is poured into the potassium hydroxide solution in 4-5 additions, stirring continuously. Stir for another 10-15 minutes after adding all the oil and leave to stand overnight.

When a white semi-solid soap is formed, drain the excess of caustic potash, add 5 liters of hot water and stir until the soap dissolves in water (the drained excess of caustic potash can be reused for the next portion). Then pour the rest of the amount of hot water, while pouring glycerin and half of the alcohol into the mass. The remaining half of the alcohol is added at the very end of the work. The solution is passed through gauze or paper and left to stand until it becomes completely transparent. Scented oils are added to the alcohol before it is added to the soap.

Shampoo powder

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

The threat of space debris to the Earth's magnetic field 01.05.2024

More and more often we hear about an increase in the amount of space debris surrounding our planet. However, it is not only active satellites and spacecraft that contribute to this problem, but also debris from old missions. The growing number of satellites launched by companies like SpaceX creates not only opportunities for the development of the Internet, but also serious threats to space security. Experts are now turning their attention to the potential implications for the Earth's magnetic field. Dr. Jonathan McDowell of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics emphasizes that companies are rapidly deploying satellite constellations, and the number of satellites could grow to 100 in the next decade. The rapid development of these cosmic armadas of satellites can lead to contamination of the Earth's plasma environment with dangerous debris and a threat to the stability of the magnetosphere. Metal debris from used rockets can disrupt the ionosphere and magnetosphere. Both of these systems play a key role in protecting the atmosphere and maintaining ... >>

Solidification of bulk substances 30.04.2024

There are quite a few mysteries in the world of science, and one of them is the strange behavior of bulk materials. They may behave like a solid but suddenly turn into a flowing liquid. This phenomenon has attracted the attention of many researchers, and we may finally be getting closer to solving this mystery. Imagine sand in an hourglass. It usually flows freely, but in some cases its particles begin to get stuck, turning from a liquid to a solid. This transition has important implications for many areas, from drug production to construction. Researchers from the USA have attempted to describe this phenomenon and come closer to understanding it. In the study, the scientists conducted simulations in the laboratory using data from bags of polystyrene beads. They found that the vibrations within these sets had specific frequencies, meaning that only certain types of vibrations could travel through the material. Received ... >>

The i beam tablet from NTT DoCoMo is controlled by sight 11.10.2012

At CEATEC 2012 in Japan, local operator NTT DoCoMo demonstrated the concept of the i beam tablet computer, which confirms that today you can not touch the display at all to work with the mobile platform. Menu navigation, opening, closing and application management are carried out at a distance from the tablet itself.

The thing is that at the bottom of the "pill" i beam is a pair of sensors that track the direction of the user's gaze. To start work, it is necessary to perform an initial calibration of the sensors, and after they are accurately adjusted to the eyes of a particular person, you can start working. A thick dot appears on the screen, which follows the direction of view and actually replaces the mouse pointer. The user is absolutely free in his actions and can perform almost all the same operations as when working on the touch screen.

According to eyewitnesses who managed to work with i beam personally, the most difficult interface element turned out to be a cross in the upper right corner, which closes applications. As a result, I even had to give up eye control and touch this on-screen button with my hand. The developers of NTT DoCoMo demonstrated a game designed for eye control, an application for viewing photos in a gallery, a browser interface and a reader. The e-book app turned out to be the most thoughtful, looking at a word more closely, you can start a search for this query, and the pages are scrolled by looking at the bottom corners. The Japanese operator is not yet ready to release this platform on the market.
