Here is the recipe varnish for rubber products.

According to experiments, camphor oil was recognized as the best solvent for rubber in the manufacture of varnishes. Take 30 g of the best rubber and cut it with a sharp wet knife into small pieces. The cut pieces are placed in a wide-mouthed flask and poured with 1 liter of camphor oil; lightly plugging the bottle with a cork, leave it for several days in a moderately warm place (but not in the sun). The contents of the bottle are shaken several times daily. After dissolving all the rubber, the liquid is filtered through the web to separate insoluble substances and other impurities from it.

The rubber solution prepared in this way is quite thick and can be used in the form of a varnish by itself. But it is especially good if you add copal varnish to it, which mixes perfectly with the rubber solution.

Such a varnish has a high viscosity, elasticity and the ability to withstand atmospheric influences and the action of acids, alkalis, etc.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. The tunnel is closed by a huge traffic jam 24.07.2012

If underground water has penetrated into a tunnel on a highway or subway, if dangerous substances have spilled there or a fire has broken out, it may be necessary to cut off the dangerous area by sealing it. In the United States, a giant inflatable cork ten meters long and five meters in diameter has been proposed for such cases. It can be stored in a recess in the tunnel wall, inflated with air or filled with water in a few minutes, and seals the tunnel tightly.

Cork made of multi-layered synthetic fabric is much cheaper than sealed sliding doors, which are usually provided in tunnels.
