Many people prefer to process boards in a ferric chloride solution, since etching is much faster in it.

We offer a fairly simple way to prepare ferric chloride at home. This will require technical hydrochloric acid, sold in household goods stores, and iron dioxide - rust. About 1 liter of acid is poured into a three-liter jar, observing the necessary precautions, and a little iron dioxide is poured into it until the reaction stops. After settling, the solution must be poured into another container - it is ready for pickling.

It is desirable to carry out work outside the living quarters, since during the reaction a large amount of foam and gases with an unpleasant odor are released, and there may be acid residues in the foam.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Car electric refueling 06.09.2010

A Tokyo taxi company has set up a station in the Japanese capital to refuel its electric vehicles. For speed, the batteries are not charged, but replaced with pre-charged ones. The car drives into the "pit", and the robot, moving down the rails, replaces the empty battery with a full one, and puts the empty one on charge.

So far, only 12 lithium-ion batteries are stored at the experimental station, each of which allows a taxi to travel up to 160 kilometers. By the end of 2010, one such station should appear in France, in 2011 - a whole network in Israel.

A cooperation agreement has also been signed with a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, which has promised to adapt its vehicles for quick battery replacement.

It should be noted that pure hydrochloric acid of a high concentration is no longer on sale, it is a precursor, and it is yellow in household stores - it contains inhibitors that slow down the process, so the reaction is very slow, so the solution must be heated slightly and mix the mixture.
