Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Monochrome Epson Printing Factory 16.03.2014

In any company there is always a need for printing, so the question arises of choosing a printer. Most often, laser printers are chosen for the office, because it is believed that they work faster and better. Epson, which developed its "Monochrome Print Factory", debunks the prevailing stereotypes and offers a more profitable solution.

Fast and economical printing is the key to high-quality document management in any company. Although the market for printing devices offers many solutions in various price categories, the problem of choosing a printer is still relevant. And one of the main questions that arise before buying is which printer to choose - inkjet or laser?

If we trace the trend in the use of devices by type (laser or inkjet), then, according to stable stereotypes, laser printers are most often chosen for office needs. But laser devices require expensive toners and higher energy consumption, so there is no question of saving in practice. Many consumers tend to believe that the purchased expensive device will at least print quickly. But is it really so?

Epson has been developing an alternative to laser devices for a long time and was able to offer the market a unique line of original printers without cartridges - the Epson Monochrome Print Factory, which includes both printers: Epson M100 and Epson M105, and Epson M200 MFP. Thanks to the large built-in 140 ml ink tanks, Epson managed to reduce the cost of an A4 print to a record 15 kopecks using original consumables - this is three times cheaper than a print of the same format on a laser printer using refillable toner.

The starter set of consumables for the "Epson Monochrome Print Factory" is enough for 11 thousand prints, while the laser "brothers" have only 1500. And this means a long-term benefit for customers, because due to the high resource of the starter set of consumables and the low cost of a print, the cost ownership of "Epson Mono Print Factory" for three years is more than half that of a laser printer.

Often, the main criterion for choosing a laser printer is high print quality. "Epson Monochrome Printing Factory" uses pigment inks, which provide high-definition printing and print durability even on plain paper - the print does not smear or spread from accidental water ingress, it can be highlighted with a marker without compromising quality.

As for the print speed, the Epson Print Factory is also all right with this. Inkjet printers have always boasted a fast first page out because they don't have to spend time warming up. There is also a special draft mode to increase typing speed.

In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to the protection of the environment. It has become a real trend. All Epson Print Factory products are designed to comply with environmental regulations and be friendly to the environment. Thus, inkjet printing technology provides less energy consumption, and consumables - greater environmental friendliness compared to laser printing, pigment inks, unlike toner cartridges, are not toxic.
