General requirements for labor protection 1.1. This instruction provides for the prevention of exposure to hazardous and harmful production factors. Dangerous factors affecting the nurse-washer are the improper use of electrical equipment (washing machine, drying cabinet, electric stove), various cleaning tools (ruffs, brushes), careless work with glassware. Harmful factors are exposure to various detergents, hot water, accidental ingress of particles of poisonous and other irritating substances. 1.2. The instruction applies to all cleaners who wash pharmacy dishes and clean the premises and is a guide in the preparation of instructions that should be developed taking into account local characteristics and posted in a conspicuous place in this area of work. 1.3. In their work, the cleaners must comply with the current rules for the device, operation, safety and industrial sanitation when working in pharmacies, as well as instructions for processing dishes. 1.4. Persons at least 16 years old who have undergone special training, trained in labor safety in accordance with GOST 12.0.004-79 and have 1 electrical safety group are allowed to work as a cleaner-washer. Instead of GOST 12.0.004-79, by the Decree of the USSR State Standard of November 5, 1990 No. 2797, GOST 12.0.004-90 was approved and put into effect When applying for a job, a cleaning nurse must undergo an introductory safety briefing, as well as an initial briefing at the workplace, and then every six months a repeated briefing, which should be recorded in the logs. 1.5. In the course of work, the cleaning nurse must comply with the internal labor regulations, use the issued sanitary overalls, special footwear, personal protective equipment and other safety devices in accordance with the current norms for their issuance. 1.6. The cleaning nurse should be familiar with the standard fire safety rules, and in the event of a fire, along with everyone else, take measures to save people and extinguish the fire. 1.7. The cleaning nurse must know and observe the rules of personal hygiene, keep overalls and safety shoes clean, and systematically undergo preventive medical examinations in the prescribed manner. 1.8. The cleaner-washer is personally responsible for violation of the requirements of this instruction. Persons who have failed to comply with or violate labor protection instructions are subject to disciplinary action in accordance with the internal labor regulations and, if necessary, an extraordinary examination of knowledge of labor protection issues. 2. Safety requirements before starting work 2.1. The cleaner-washer is obliged to prepare her workplace for safe work, to bring it into proper sanitary condition. 2.2. When accepting a workplace, a cleaning nurse is obliged to find out the malfunctions of equipment, electrical appliances, mechanization and other items of equipment of the workplace, and also to prevent the presence in the workplace of items that are not used in the process of work. 3. Safety requirements during work 3.1. The cleaning nurse is obliged to wash dishes contaminated during work immediately after they arrive, following the instructions for the sanitary regime in pharmacies, which provide for safe methods of washing, disinfecting, drying and, if necessary, sterilizing dishes. 3.2. When washing dishes, a cleaning nurse should wear an apron and rubber gloves, and in case of contact with aggressive liquids (when washing dishes from acids), a rubberized apron with a bib, rubber gloves, galoshes, goggles. When using metal equipment (ruffs, brushes, scrapers, etc.), care must be taken. During the washing process, the bottles should be held by the neck to avoid crushing them. 3.3. Washing and processing of dishes, in which medicines with poisonous or narcotic substances were made, must be carried out by a cleaning nurse separately from other dishes under the supervision of a pharmacist-technologist or pharmacist. 3.4. To disinfect utensils coming to the pharmacy from the infectious diseases departments of hospitals, the nurse must treat the utensils with an activated chloramine solution - 1% for 30 minutes, then with a freshly prepared hydrogen peroxide solution - 3% containing 0,5% detergents and soak in the solution "Dezmola" - 0,5% for 80 minutes. 3.5. Work with perhydrol, ammonia and chloramine should be carried out in rubber gloves, safety glasses and with a four-layer gauze bandage. In case of accidental contact with perhydrol and chloramine on the skin, the washer should immediately wash off the affected area with water. To avoid splashing, perhydrol should be carried in a sealed container. 3.6. When sterilizing dishes in a drying cabinet, the washer should unload them only after cooling. During sterilization, it is allowed to open the door of the sterilizer no earlier than 30 minutes. after the end of sterilization, being extremely careful and hiding behind the door of the sterilizer. 3.7. When using electrical equipment, various means of mechanization and devices, the cleaning nurse must be guided by the rules (instructions) set forth in the technical passports attached to them. When turning off electrical appliances, the cleaner must be taken by the plug body, and not by the cord. 3.8. To prevent cuts on the hands, the nurse-washer should disassemble the glassware in mittens. 3.9. When using ladders and step-ladders, the cleaning attendant must first check their serviceability. It is forbidden to use random stands (boxes, chairs, etc.). Stepladders must have rubber boots on the bowstrings. 3.10. A cleaning nurse should not lift and carry loads weighing more than 15 kg alone. 4. Safety requirements in emergency situations 4.1. Any work-related accident must be reported immediately to the appropriate supervisor by the victim or bystander of the accident. The manager must organize first aid for the victim, his delivery to a medical institution, inform the head of the pharmacy, the labor protection engineer or the person performing his functions, and the trade union committee about what happened, keep the situation at the workplace and the condition of the equipment as it was for investigation at the time of the incident, if it does not threaten the life and health of the surrounding workers and does not lead to an accident. 4.2. In the event of an emergency that can lead to burns, injury and other injuries, the washer should, if possible, take the necessary measures to eliminate the consequences (open windows, ventilate the room, carefully remove spilled liquid, etc.). 4.3. In the event of a fire, the cleaner must take measures to limit its spread (turn off electrical appliances, use a fire extinguisher) and ensure the safety of people. 4.4. In the event of other emergencies, the cleaner should take measures to evacuate material assets in accordance with the evacuation plan in case of fire or other natural disasters. 4.5. In order to avoid colds and injuries, the cleaning nurse must ensure that the floor is not wet, and that a wooden stand is installed under the feet. 4.6. When wet cleaning the premises, the cleaning nurse should not touch electrical wiring or electric heaters with wet hands or a rag. 4.7. A cleaning nurse should not enter and clean a room in which an unshielded germicidal lamp is turned on. 5. Safety requirements at the end of work 5.1. At the end of the work, the cleaning nurse must turn off the electrical equipment (washing machine, drying cabinet, electric stove) and other equipment and mechanization tools that were used in the process of washing dishes, disinfecting, drying and sterilizing them, and also turn off the water taps. 5.2. The nurse-washer must clearly know the sanitary requirements for cleaning the premises of the pharmacy. 5.3. At the end of the working day, the cleaning nurse must remove sanitary clothing, special footwear and put them in a special closet, wash their hands thoroughly and comply with all the requirements for personal hygiene of pharmacy employees. 5.4. In the event that in the course of work deficiencies in the operation or malfunction of equipment, means of mechanization, the cleaning nurse must notify the administration of the pharmacy.
