Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

1.1. A driver who knows the rules of operation and maintenance of the machine, who has undergone a special safety briefing, and who has a certificate for the right to work, is allowed to work on the machine.

1.2. A driver-operator and a worker-slinger must service the machine in operation.

1.3. Work and movement of drilling and crane machines near power lines is allowed only under the direct supervision of an engineering and technical worker. Working under wires is prohibited. When working near a power line, the horizontal distance between the extreme point of the machine, cable or load and the nearest wire of the power line must be at least as specified in table 1.

Table 1

1.4. When the drilling machine moves under the wires of existing power lines, the vertical distance between the highest point of the machine and the lowest point of the sag of the wire must be at least as specified in Table 2.

Table 2

1.5. If it is impossible to comply with these rules, the power line must be de-energized both during operation and during its movement.

(Construction norms and rules. Part III, section A, clause 5.9. Approved by the State Committee of the Council of Ministers of the USSR for construction on December 30, 1962)

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Before starting work, you must:

a) Inspect the machine and make sure that there are no foreign objects on its rotating parts (hinges, cardan shafts, block, drill, etc.);

b) check the tightening of bolts or nuts: flanges, cardan shafts; on ladders fastening the frame of drilling and crane equipment;

fastening of the bearing caps of the pins of the motor-drill; fastening the crane to the body of the motor drill; fastening of the upper housing and bearing of the transfer case; transfer box mountings; except for drilling and crane equipment; fixing the operator's seat guard, as well as check the cotter pin on the axis of the crane block, the transfer case drive shaft. transmission of motor-drill drive shafts and gearbox; rear hinge of the cardan shaft of the motor-drill drive; rear hinge of the propeller shaft of the gearbox.

2.2. Make sure there are no people in the turning area of the crane and auger.

2.3. Persons who are not involved in the production of work are not allowed to be in the immediate vicinity of the machine.

2.4. When lifting and lowering the crane, it is forbidden to be under the crane boom.

Work from the side. The operator must carefully monitor the crane boom when lifting and lowering, turn off the gear in a timely manner.

2.6. Before starting drilling, make sure that there are no underground utilities, especially electric cables.

2.7. Before starting work, check the serviceability of the backup drive for disengaging the clutch and controlling the throttle valve of the carburetor. Check for the safety pins of the winch gearbox.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. It is forbidden to work with a drill in places littered with iron scraps, bars, boards, concrete-brick battles, wire, etc. objects.

3.2. It is strictly forbidden to lubricate and eliminate any malfunctions while the drill is running. For the production of these works, it is necessary to stop the machine.

3.3. It is forbidden to remove large stones and other inclusions from the pit that prevent drilling with a rotating auger.

3.4. Drilling holes and installing poles (supports) is allowed only after the machine is put on the brakes and outriggers.

3.5. The drill control handle must be in the neutral position.

3.6. Before drilling the hole, hook the hook of the winch rope to a special bracket on the boom.

3.7. Be careful when using the gas pedal. When laying and lifting the crane, it is not recommended to use the gas pedal.

3.8. The winch rope must be inspected daily before starting work; while paying special attention to the integrity of the individual wires in the rows. If more than 10% of the wires are broken off the rope, it must be replaced with a new one. To lift the poles, only steel ropes should be used, according to the machine's passport. Check the reliability of the rope termination on the winch drum.

3.9. At the end of the rope there must be a device (sling) for capturing the pole, preventing the latter from slipping during pulling up and lifting.

3.10. The rope must be securely fastened to the pole (support), while the hook must be located with the mouth down. After the end of the fixing, the worker must move away from the pole.

3.11. Before starting the winch, it is necessary to check the fixation of the crane boom. It is forbidden to leave the crane in the raised position without fixing.

3.12. Before releasing the post into the pit, the butt should be raised from the ground by 5-10 cm. It is allowed to take hold of the butt of the post to direct it into the pit only after the post has been completely torn off the ground and, thus, the reliability of its fastening with a rope has been checked. The pole pulled up to the pit must be guided by a horn or a hook.

3.13. During installation, it is forbidden to stand under the lifted column.

3.14. When lifting the pole, it is necessary to monitor the position of the rope on the crane block.

If the chain is pulled onto the pulley, the machine must be stopped immediately.

3.15. The operator is obliged to carefully monitor all operations, immediately turn off the drive at the slightest danger or malfunction.

3.16. During the operation of the drilling and crane equipment, it is prohibited to carry out any work on the machine or under the machine.

3.17. The operator must place all control levers in the neutral position before leaving the machine platform.

3.18. When working at night (especially when installing poles), it is necessary to ensure good lighting of the place of work.

3.19. Moving the drilling and crane machine outside the work area with a raised boom is prohibited.

3.20. Transportation of people in the back of a crane-drilling machine is prohibited.

3.21. It is strictly forbidden to drill holes and install poles in the absence of cardan shaft guards.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. In the event of accidents and situations that can lead to accidents and accidents, you should:

4.1.1. Immediately stop work and notify the person responsible for the work;

4.1.2. Under the guidance of the person responsible for the production of works, promptly take measures to eliminate the causes of accidents or causes that can lead to accidents and accidents;

4.1.3. About victims of accidents (injured) or those who have undergone a sudden illness, it is necessary to notify the person responsible for the production of work, report to the first-aid post and take urgent measures to provide the necessary first aid.

5. Safety requirement upon completion of work

Upon completion of work, the following must be done:

5.1. Clean and tidy up the workplace;

5.2. Deliver tools and accessories to the main place of work.

5.3. Inform the person responsible for the execution of the work about all the shortcomings noticed during the work and the measures taken to eliminate them.

5.4. On the territory it is forbidden to clutter up gates, driveways, access to water tanks, fire shields, randomly store units, assemblies and materials near buildings and fences.

6. Storage and preservation of the machine

6.1. The machine, transferred after completion of work for long-term storage, must be thoroughly cleaned.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>
