General safety requirements 1.1. Individuals at least 17 years of age who have undergone appropriate training, instructions on labor protection, a medical examination and have no contraindications for health reasons are allowed to independently work on manual wood processing. Students from the 5th grade are allowed to work on manual wood processing under the guidance of a teacher, a master, after having been instructed in labor protection, a medical examination and having no contraindications for health reasons. 1.1. Students must comply with the rules of conduct, the schedule of training sessions, the established modes of work and rest. 1.2. During manual processing of wood, the following hazardous and harmful production factors may be exposed to workers:

Safety requirements before starting work 2.1. Put on overalls, carefully tuck your hair under the beret. 2.2. Safety requirements during work 3.1. Securely fix the material being processed in the clamps of the workbench. 3.2. Perform work only with serviceable, well-adjusted and sharpened tools. 3.3. Use the tool only for its intended purpose. 3.4. Use a planing tool for work that has smooth, evenly stripped pads, the back end of which should be rounded. 3.5. Only work with a bow saw after making sure that the blade is well set apart and securely fastened, the cord provides the necessary tension. 3.6. Technological operations (sawing, trimming, chiselling, drilling, joining parts) should be performed on a workbench in designated places, using fixtures, stops, clamps, backing boards. 3.7. When sawing the material with a hacksaw, use a guide to support the tool blade. 3.8. Do not litter the workbench with waste and shavings. 3.9. It is necessary to clean the plows (planer, jointer, sherhebel, etc.) from chips not by hand, but by wooden wedges. 3.10. Prepare and warm up the glue only under the supervision of a teacher (teacher, master) in a well-ventilated room isolated from the workshop. 3.11. Do not use open flames and electric heaters in the workshop. 3.12. Do not be distracted during work, follow the correct working methods. 4. Safety requirements in emergency situations 4.1. In the event of a malfunction of the working tool, its blunting, stop work and inform the teacher (teacher, master) about this. 4.2. In the event of a fire in the workshop, evacuate students, report the fire to the administration of the institution and the nearest fire station, and start extinguishing the fire using primary fire extinguishing equipment. 4.3. In case of injury, inform the teacher (teacher, foreman) about this, who will provide first aid to the victim, if necessary, send him to the nearest medical institution and inform the administration of the institution. 5. Safety requirements at the end of work 5.1. Tidy up tools and workstation. Do not blow off chips and sawdust with your mouth and do not sweep with your hand, but use a brush for this, 5.2.
