Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

1.1. Persons whose age corresponds to that established by current legislation, who have undergone a medical examination in the prescribed manner and who have no contraindications to performing this type of work are allowed to perform work.

1.2. The worker must be instructed on labor protection:

• when applying for a job - introductory and primary at the workplace;
• in the process of work at least once every 6 months - repeated;
• upon introduction of new or revised documents on labor protection or amendments to them, violation of working documents on labor protection, which could lead or led to an accident, at the request of state supervisory and control authorities, a higher authority, responsible persons of the enterprise, receipt of information materials about accidents and incidents that happened at similar enterprises - unscheduled.

1.3. The peat worker must:

• know the requirements set out in the instructions for labor protection;
• have a clear understanding of the hazardous and harmful production factors associated with the performance of work;
• know the requirements of explosion and fire safety when performing work and be able to use fire extinguishing equipment;
• use personal protective equipment when performing work;
• be able to provide first aid to the victim;
• follow the rules of internal labor regulations.

1.4. The peat worker should not endanger himself and be in the places of work that are not directly related to the work he performs.

1.5. The victim or eyewitness must immediately report each accident at work to the work manager, who is obliged to:

• organize first aid to the victim and his delivery to the hospital;
• report the incident to the head of the department;
• prior to the start of the work of the investigation commission, the situation at the workplace and the condition of the equipment are the same as they were at the time of the incident, if this does not endanger the life and health of workers and does not lead to an accident.

1.6. The peat worker must inform the head of the work about all noticed malfunctions of devices, tools, and do not start work until they are eliminated.

1.7. The peat worker is responsible for:

• fulfillment of the requirements set forth in the instructions for labor protection;
• compliance with the rules of internal labor regulations;
• quality work.

1.8. A peat worker who appears at work in a state of intoxication, in a state of narcotic or toxic intoxication, is not allowed to work.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. The organization of workplaces must ensure the safety of work.

2.2. Workplaces and aisles should not be cluttered with materials, workpieces and production waste.

2.3. Moving parts of equipment that are a possible source of injury must be guarded.

2.4. Unauthorized persons are not allowed to stay at the work site.

2.5. Before starting work, the peat worker must:

• put in order and put on overalls;
• make sure that there are no foreign objects at the place of work and, if necessary, put the workplace and aisles in order;
• remove all unnecessary from under the feet;
• check the completeness and serviceability of equipment, tools, fixtures and other equipment necessary for the work;
• make sure you have fire extinguishers.

2.6. When checking the serviceability and completeness of tools and accessories, you must:

• check the reliability of fixing the hand tool;
• lay out the working tool and devices used during work in an order convenient for use.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. When performing work, the peat worker must:

• perform only the work that is authorized by the work manager;
• use respirators when working with dusty materials.

3.2. A peat worker can carry materials on a stretcher in exceptional cases, for a distance of not more than 50 m along a level path.

3.3. When peat workers work on cleaning small stumps in the mining fields, the following safety requirements should be observed:

• stumps should be removed with gloves;
• make sure that the body of the trailer (carriage) of the tractor moving in parallel is at a safe distance from people;
• to be or perform any work (get stumps) under the trailer (trolley);
• when loading stumps, it is forbidden to stand in front of the tractor;
• loading of stumps should be carried out at a safe distance of people from each other.

3.4. When peat workers remove scrap briquettes from coolers, the following safety requirements must be observed:

• clean up scrap briquettes only in gloves and helmets;
• it is forbidden to clean with a falling briquette from the cooler "windows";
• Observe precautions when working near supporting structures.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. The peat worker must stop performing work in the following cases:

• the occurrence of a fire near the place of work;
• in case of an accident.

4.1.1. In the event of a fire near the place of work, the peat worker must:

• take measures to extinguish the fire with the available fire extinguishing means;
• if it is not possible to extinguish the fire on your own, inform the work manager and call the fire department.

4.1.2. In the event of an accident, the worker is obliged to provide first aid to the victim.

5. Safety requirements upon completion of work

5.1. At the end of the work, the peat worker must:
