Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

1.1. Workers at least 18 years of age who have received appropriate training and have professional skills to work as a vacuum forming machine operator must pass:

mandatory preliminary (when applying for a job) and periodic (during employment) medical examinations (examinations) for recognition of fitness for work in the manner established by the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Russia;
training in safe methods and techniques for performing work, briefing on labor protection, internships at the workplace and testing knowledge of labor protection.

1.2. The main dangerous and harmful production factors in the maintenance of equipment for the driver of a vacuum forming machine are:

moving parts of production equipment;
transported blanks and materials;
increased noise levels;
elevated temperature, humidity and dustiness of the air;
elevated surface temperature of the equipment.

1.3. To protect against high humidity and temperature, the machinists of the vacuum forming machine are required to use the following provided by the employer free of charge: cotton semi-overalls with water-repellent impregnation, combined mittens, leather boots, rubberized apron, respirator.

1.4. Being on the territory of the enterprise, in production and amenity premises, at work sites and workplaces, roll refillers are obliged to comply with the internal labor regulations adopted in this organization.

Admission of unauthorized persons, as well as employees in a state of intoxication to these places is prohibited.

1.5. In the course of their daily activities, vacuum forming machine operators must:

maintain order in the workplace, clean them of debris, scraps of paper and cardboard, dust;
be careful during work and avoid violations of safety requirements.

1.6. Vacuum forming machine operators are obliged to immediately notify their immediate or superior manager of any situation that threatens the life and health of people, every accident that occurs at work, or deterioration of their health.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Before starting work, the driver of the vacuum forming machine must:

present to the manager a certificate of verification of knowledge of safe methods and techniques of work and be instructed at the workplace, taking into account the specifics of the work;
put on overalls, special footwear of the established sample;
get a job from the work manager.

2.2. After receiving the task from the manager, the driver of the vacuum forming machine must:

read the entries in the work log;
accept a workplace from the driver of the vacuum forming machine of the previous shift;
check the workplace and approaches to it for compliance with safety requirements;
check the serviceability of the serviced equipment;
availability and serviceability of tools, auxiliary devices and instrumentation;
check the sealing of the drying chamber doors;
check the operation of the vacuum unit;
check the serviceability of the guards of the rotating parts of the equipment.

2.3. The operator of a vacuum forming machine should not start work if the following safety requirements are violated:

malfunctions of equipment, fences, tools, instrumentation specified in the instructions of manufacturers, in which their operation is not allowed;
unstable position of units, assemblies of equipment;
insufficient illumination of the workplace.

2.4. Detected violations of safety requirements must be eliminated on their own before work begins, and if this is not possible, the vacuum forming machine operator is obliged to report them to the work manager.

2.5. In the event of a malfunction in the electrical part, it is necessary to inform the electrician on duty.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. Before starting the vacuum forming machine, make sure there are no workers in the hazardous areas and give a warning signal to start.

3.2. During operation, monitor the serviceability of equipment and guards, do not lean over the railing that encloses rotating shafts.

3.3. When blowing gaskets and blowing molds, it is not allowed to lean on the equipment for showering.

3.4. When cleaning the upper molds from the mass with an air jet, it is necessary to hold the hanging part of the hose with one hand in order to avoid touching it with the moving chains with a swing and the upper molds.

3.5. It is not allowed to clean the vacuum molds while the machine is running with mechanical means and sulfuric acid.

3.6. When spraying molds with oil, it is necessary to keep the spray gun at a distance of at least 0,5 m from the molds.

3.7. In case of forced short-term stops of the machine (up to 10 minutes), it is necessary to reduce the temperature in the drying chamber in order to avoid overdrying and ignition of the gaskets.

3.8. It is not allowed to open the door of the drying chamber without making sure that the oven and the fans blowing hot air into the drying chamber are completely turned off.

3.9. Cleaning the drying chamber, replacing the swing and performing other repairs must be done only after they have completely cooled down.

3.10. It is not allowed to remove the pad while the machine is running from the suction molds.

3.11. When manufacturing gaskets from inorganic fibers (VBFI), gaskets should be handled only with gloves, and when in contact with dry gaskets, a respirator must be worn.

3.12. It is necessary to monitor the cleanliness of the workplace, periodically cleaning throughout the shift.

3.13. It is not allowed to leave a running machine without the permission of the work manager.

3.14. If malfunctions are found in the operation of the machine, immediately stop it and inform the work manager.

3.15. Packed boxes should only be stacked on serviceable pallets.

3.16. It is necessary to be attentive to the signals of the electric forklift when sending finished products to the warehouse.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. In the event of a sudden power outage, turn off the equipment immediately.

4.2. In case of emergencies (extraneous noise, jerks, shocks or vibrations), immediately stop the machine, post a poster "Do not turn it on!" and inform the supervisor or other official about it.

4.3. Do not start working on the machine until the faults are completely eliminated.

4.4. If an accident has occurred that caused an accident, immediately stop the equipment, provide assistance to the victim and send him to the first-aid post, inform the work manager about this. Do not turn on the machine until the special permission of the work manager.

4.5. In the event of a fire in the drying chamber, follow the fire safety instructions.

5. Safety requirements at the end of work

5.1. It is necessary to stop the vacuum forming machine and inspect the equipment, and in case of continuous operation, prepare it for the next shift.

5.2. Clean up the workplace.

5.3. Make an entry in the work log about the operation of the vacuum forming machine.

5.4. Notify the head of work about the transfer of the shift.

5.5. After handing over the shift, remove overalls and follow the rules of personal hygiene.
