Safe Operation

1. General safety requirements

1.1. Workers who have passed a medical examination, as well as safety instructions at the workplace, may be allowed to work as a freight forwarder.

1.2. The forwarder must pass:

  • repeated briefing on labor safety at the workplace at least every three months;
  • dispensary medical examination according to the order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation No. 90 dated March 14.03.1986, XNUMX.

1.3. The forwarder must:

  • perform only the assigned work and not transfer it to others without the permission of the master;
  • be able to provide first aid in case of an accident.

1.4. The main hazardous and harmful production factors under certain circumstances can be:

  • faulty inventory and tools;
  • defective accessories;
  • chemical substances;
  • road traffic accidents.

1.5. The freight forwarder must know:

  • rules for loading, transporting and unloading various cargoes;
  • mode of cargo storage;
  • registration of acceptance documentation;
  • internal labor regulations.

2. Safety requirements before starting work

2.1. Wear the prescribed clothing.

2.2. Check the condition of the equipment for receiving goods, documentation.

3. Safety requirements during work

3.1. The freight forwarder performs only the work assigned by the management.

3.2. At the place of work, the forwarder manages the loading and unloading of vehicles and vice versa, is responsible for choosing the least safe way of loading, unloading and moving goods.

3.3. Make sure that the load carried by women does not exceed 16 kg, and by men - 50 kg.

3.4. To move and lift loads weighing more than 50 kg and to a height of more than 3 m, lifting mechanisms must be used.

3.5. The freight forwarder controls the movement of goods in warehouses and on the territory of the store, using the established passages and without violating the fences, folded goods.

3.6. It makes sure that hatches and channels are closed on the way of moving goods.

3.7. Monitors the serviceability of wheelbarrows, carts, pads for loads.

3.8. When moving a load on a horizontal plane, stand behind or to the side of the load.

3.9. When moving cargo on the back, soft pads are used.

3.10. When laying the load on the trolley, make sure that the load is stable and cannot fall from accidental shocks along the way, arrange the load so that it cannot catch on oncoming objects during the movement of the trolley.

3.11. When loading cargo into the body of the car, observe the following rules:

  • cargo should not rise above the sides;
  • the load must be distributed evenly throughout the body;
  • piece cargo, rising above the level of the side, must be fastened with strong ropes;
  • loading of boxes, barrels and other piece goods should be carried out in such a way that these goods do not move during movement. For this purpose, there should not be free gaps between individual sheets of cargo, or special wooden spacers and spacers should be installed;
  • when unloading cargo from vehicles with the help of reels, make sure that no one is between the reels;
  • load weighing more than 80 kg is removed by at least two people or with the help of a lifting device.

3.12. When loading and unloading into wagons, observe the following safety rules:

  • monitor the serviceability of the ladders, their strength;
  • open and close the car doors only with the help of special hooks;
  • Before opening the side of the platform, check whether the load can fall out when opening the side by opening the side against the side of the lock.

3.13. When working with a winch, follow these rules:

  • do not lift or lower a load that exceeds the capacity of the winch;
  • follow the movement of the load, avoiding jerks;
  • do not leave the winch unattended with a suspended load.

4. Safety requirements in emergency situations

4.1. If dangerous conditions occur in the loading and unloading area (winch malfunction), stop work and notify the supervisor.

4.2. In case of injury, call an ambulance through the workers working nearby and notify the manager.

5. Safety requirements after finishing work

5.1. Get your supplies and tools in order.

5.2. Wash your hands with soap.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Graphene on platinum surfaces defies Coulomb's law 01.02.2023

Researchers from Basel and Tel Aviv have found that friction changes with speed in specific graphene structures on platinum surfaces, violating Coulomb's law, which states that friction is independent of velocity in the macrocosm.

Materials made from individual atomic layers are highly valued for their low friction properties, useful for reducing friction on hard drives or moving parts of satellites or space telescopes. Composed of a single layer of carbon atoms arranged like a honeycomb, graphene is a prime example and is being tested for its potential as a lubricating layer. Earlier research has shown that graphene tape can slide across a gold surface with almost no friction.

If graphene is applied to a platinum surface, this has a significant effect on the measured friction forces. Now physicists from the Universities of Basel and Tel Aviv have figured out that in this case the friction depends on the speed at which the tip of the atomic force microscope moves across the surface. This conclusion came as a surprise, since friction does not depend on speed according to Coulomb's law, applied in the macrocosm.

When combined with a platinum substrate, graphene no longer forms only a hexagonal honeycomb structure of carbon atoms, but forms superstructures known as Moiré superlattices. Then the surface is no longer absolutely flat and has a certain degree of roughness.

"If we move the AFM tip over this slightly corrugated surface at low speed, we measure a weak and almost constant frictional force," explains Prof. Ernst Mayer from the Swiss Institute for Nanoscience and the Department of Physics at the University of Basel. "But above a certain threshold, friction increases at the rate of the AFM tip," adds first author Dr. Yiming Song. "The larger the moire buildup, the lower the threshold at which friction becomes velocity dependent."

The researchers found that on the ridges of the moiré superstructures, there is more resistance as the tip moves. These ridges experience elastic deformation through the pushing tip before relaxing again when the pressure is high enough. This effect results in large frictional forces that increase with tip speed. Simulation and analytical model confirm the experimental results obtained by this international team of researchers.
