  • the presence of voltage in the fan control circuit;
  • presence of voltage on the control panel.

2.4. Protect the installation area, hang warning posters, provide the workplace with fire extinguishing equipment.

2.5. Check the serviceability of the entire system, measuring instruments (pressure gauge), open the air cock on the air supply line.

2.6. Check the air supply to the nozzle (first open the air cock on the nozzle).

2.7. Check that there are no flammable liquids and hot liquids near the workplace, that the hoses are fixed and securely connected to the burner (using clamps).

3. Labor protection requirements during work

3.1. To start the fans of the polymerization chamber, for this purpose it is necessary:

  • make sure that there is voltage on the control panel;
  • make sure that there is no diesel fuel on the hearth of the furnace;
  • the control circuit voltage switch is moved to position 1;
  • close the valve on the discharge line of the recirculation fan (button on the board). When the valve is open, the fan will not start;
  • from the K-2 control panel, the operator starts the recirculation and suction fans from the polymerization chamber;
  • make sure the fan is working properly;
  • using the button on the control panel, open the valve on the discharge line of the recirculation fan by 50% and ventilate the chamber for 15 minutes.

3.2. Burner start-up procedure:

  • check the serviceability of fuel lines, shut-off valves;
  • close the throttle valve on the air fan line, the air and fuel valves in front of the nozzle;
  • turn on the circulation fan by opening the gate by 10% (according to the instrument);
  • turn on the suction fan;
  • open the diesel fuel supply valve from the tank before the pump and after the pump;
  • open the diesel fuel supply valve after the filter and make sure by the pressure gauge that the pressure is not more than 1 kg per cmXNUMX;
  • switch on the primary compressor air fan with the button on the switchboard;
  • turn on the nozzle fan using the throttle valve, set the air pressure to 10-15 mm w.c.;
  • slightly open the control valve on the compressor air line so that the pressure in front of the nozzle does not exceed 0,3-0,5 kg per cmXNUMX;
  • light a portable igniter and insert it through the ignition hole to the injector mouth, slightly open the fuel control valve until stable combustion appears;
  • within 10-15 minutes, the recirculation valve should be open by 50%, then open by 100%;
  • keep the pressure in front of the nozzle:
  • fuel - 0,2-0,3 kg per cmXNUMX;
  • compressor air - 2 kg per cmXNUMX;
  • fan air 220-300 mm w.c.

3.3. During operation, monitor the readings of the thermocouple placed in the duct. If the temperature rises above the set value, reduce the fuel supply.

3.4. Regulate the normal combustion of the nozzle by means of air and fuel supply valves.

3.5. In the event that the appearance of coke deposits in the burner tunnel is noticed, try to remove them by increasing the pressure of the compressor air in front of the nozzle. If this fails, a mechanical method of removing deposits can be resorted to, being very careful not to damage the recirculation insert and burner stones.

3.6. The dryer is obliged every hour to check the pressure of the fuel after the filter, the temperature of the flue gases.

3.7. Periodically monitor the operation of circulation and suction fans, conveyors of the polymerization chamber.

3.8. Follow the timely lubrication of the fan bearings.

4. Labor protection requirements in emergency situations

  • in case of fire.

4.2. During an emergency stop, the dryer must:

  • close the diesel fuel and air supply valves;
  • stop the circulation and suction fans from the control panel at a temperature of 50-60°C;
  • close the valve.

In the event of a fire, close the nozzle valves and take measures to extinguish the fire with improvised means. If the fire cannot be eliminated on your own, call the fire brigade, informing your management.

5. Labor protection requirements in emergency situations

5.1. At the end of the work, the nozzle is extinguished in the following sequence:

  • close all control and shut-off valves on the fuel lines;
  • report to the K-2 operator or shift foreman that the nozzle is off;
  • ventilate the furnace for 5 minutes;
  • stop the fans when the temperature in the furnace is 50-60°C;
  • close the valve with the button on the control panel;
  • move the circuit selector to the "O" position.

5.7. Report all noticed malfunctions in the operation of the nozzle and the measures taken to report to the work manager.

5.8. Remove overalls, wash hands with soap.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Lightning chases ships 26.09.2017

The World Lightning Detection Network operates in Seattle, Washington. It collects data from dozens of sensors around the world that pick up electromagnetic disturbances generated by lightning - the so-called atmospherics.

All sensors are on land, but atmospherics travel thousands of miles from the point of discharge, because they are radio waves even longer than those on which radio broadcasts are carried out. So an atmospheric that has arisen over the ocean will easily reach the sensor on land, and if it is registered by several sensors at once, then it is possible to determine exactly where the lightning occurred.

Scientists have noticed an almost straight line of flashes across the Indian Ocean. It turned out that lightning was concentrated along the busiest shipping lanes that stretch from the northern Indian Ocean through the Strait of Malacca to the South China Sea.

The researchers collected data on all 2005 billion outbreaks reported from 2016 to XNUMX. It turned out that outbreaks occurred along these shipping lanes on average twice as often as in neighboring areas of the ocean with the same climate. Natural weather conditions did not explain the phenomenon of increased concentration of lightning - that is, obviously, the lightning somehow pumped the ships themselves.

It is known that lightning can jump both between neighboring thunderclouds and between a cloud and the ground. In the second case, she hits the highest object. This happens because the sky is closer to high objects, and the electrical voltage always tends to discharge along the shortest path possible.

Since the decks of ships are the tallest objects in the open ocean, lightning often strikes there. (Of course, this was a real disaster only for medieval ships, while modern ones are reliably protected from damage by lightning rods.) If so, it can be assumed that the "concentration" of lightning along sea routes is explained by the fact that they are attracted by ships. However, the area with "increased content" of lightning is actually much wider than the ship fairways.

Specialistsresearchers explained the phenomenon quite simply. Apparently, the exhaust gases emitted by any internal combustion engines, including those of marine vessels, are to blame. Exhaust contains soot particles, nitrogen and sulfur compounds and other microscopic components. They help to condense water molecules, which prefer to stick just to some ready-made drops or particles present in the atmosphere.

If there are few such particles - condensation nuclei (for example, over an open ocean where there is clean air), water molecules have little choice, and they form large drops. But due to the exhaust gases, the particles become much larger, and many small droplets are obtained. Because they are lighter, they rise to greater heights, so that many of them freeze, reaching sub-zero layers.

Meanwhile, ice crystals are needed to electrify the cloud. More precisely, for electrification, it is necessary that both drops and ice crystals be present in it at the same time (which is why lightning usually does not happen in winter: in winter there are only crystals in the clouds).

Electrification occurs when crystals and drops collide with each other; It is believed that lighter and smaller particles are predominantly positively charged, while heavier and larger particles are negatively charged. Filled with electricity, the cloud is discharged by lightning. Since thunderclouds arise due to ship exhausts, the lightning zone turns out to be wider than the fairway.
