Additional benefits in order to improve the labor protection of minors are established both by legislation (Chapter 42 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation) and in the process of concluding collective agreements (agreements). Employer must knowthat in certain jobs the use of labor of persons under eighteen years of age smoking.

Thus, by Decree No. 163 of February 25, 2000, the Government of the Russian Federation approved a list of heavy work and work with harmful or dangerous working conditions, during which it is prohibited to use the labor of persons under 18 years of age. The list of professions and jobs in which the work of minors is not allowed is compiled by sectors of the economy. For example, the second section of the List: mining, construction of subways, tunnels and underground structures for special purposes. For minors, underground work performed by workers of all professions is prohibited. At other jobs in this industry, a list of jobs by professions is provided for which the work of persons under the age of 18 is not allowed.

The employment of persons under the age of 18 in the jobs included in the List is prohibited in all organizations, regardless of sectors of the economy, as well as the organizational and legal form of ownership.

In addition to work with difficult, harmful or dangerous working conditions, persons under the age of 18 cannot be involved in work performed on a rotational basis, part-time, associated with the gambling business and work in nightclubs, with the production, storage and sale of alcoholic beverages.

It is prohibited to conclude a written agreement on full liability with minors holding positions or performing work directly related to the storage, processing, sale (vacation), transportation or use in the production process of the values transferred to them.

The maximum permissible loads for persons under 18 years of age when lifting and moving weights manually were approved by the Decree of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation of April 7, 1999.

It is prohibited to send employees under the age of eighteen to work overtime, work at night, and work on weekends and non-working holidays under the age of eighteen (Article 268 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation).

In order to increase the stability of labor relations of employees under eighteen years of age, it is stipulated that termination of an employment contract by an employee under 18 years of age at the initiative of the employer, in addition to observing the general procedure for dismissal, is allowed only with the consent of the relevant state labor inspectorate and the inspectorate for minors and protection of their rights.
