Many extracurricular and extracurricular activities with students are held outside cities or other settlements with transportation of students by road. Persons at least 20 years old who have been instructed in labor protection, pre-trip medical examination, have no contraindications for health reasons, and have continuous work experience as a driver for at least the last three years are allowed to transport students by road. Students must be accompanied by two adults when traveling.

When transported by road, students may be exposed to the following hazards:

  • injury by passing vehicles when entering the roadway when boarding or disembarking from the bus;
  • injuries during sudden braking of the bus;
  • injuries in traffic accidents in violation of traffic rules or in the operation of technically faulty vehicles.

A bus intended for the transportation of students must be equipped in front and behind with a warning sign "Children", as well as a fire extinguisher and a first-aid kit with a set of necessary medicines and dressings.

In the event of a traffic accident with injury to children, the person responsible for transportation reports from the nearest point of contact or with the help of passing drivers about the incident to the administration of the educational institution, to the traffic police and a medical institution.

When transporting students, it is necessary to follow the established procedure for transportation and the rules of personal hygiene. Persons who have failed to comply with or violate safety instructions are subject to disciplinary liability in accordance with the internal labor regulations and, if necessary, are subjected to an extraordinary examination of knowledge of labor protection norms and rules.

Transportation of students is permitted only by written order of the head of the educational institution.

Before starting transportation, you must:

  • instruct students on the rules of conduct during transportation with an entry in the instruction log;
  • make sure that the bus is in good technical condition according to the waybill and by external inspection;
  • check that the bus has a warning sign "Children" in front and behind, as well as a fire extinguisher and a first aid kit.

Children should board the bus from the sidewalk or roadside strictly according to the number of seats. Standing in the aisles between the seats is not allowed. During transportation, students must observe discipline and follow all the instructions of their elders. While driving, it is not allowed to stand and walk around the bus, lean out of the window and put your hands out the window.

The speed of the bus when transporting children should not exceed 60 km/h. In order to avoid injuries during sudden braking of the bus, it is necessary to rest your feet on the floor of the bus body and hold on to the handrail of the seat located in front. It is not allowed to transport children at night, on ice, in conditions of limited visibility. Before an unguarded railway crossing, you must stop the bus, make sure that it is safe to cross the railway, and then continue driving.

If a malfunction occurs in the operation of the engine and systems of the bus, the driver must take to the right, pull over to the side of the road and stop the bus. The movement can be continued only after the elimination of the malfunction.

If a student is injured, it is necessary to provide the victim with first aid, if necessary, deliver him to the nearest medical institution and inform the administration of the educational institution about this.

Upon completion of transportation:

  • the driver must pull over to the side of the road or drive up to the sidewalk and stop the bus;
  • students should get off the bus only with the permission of the elder towards the sidewalk or roadside. It is forbidden to enter the carriageway and cross the road;
  • The leader must check the list of students.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

The laser will defeat the tumor 07.08.2012

The original laser system, developed at the University of Tennessee, is capable of independently performing a "search and destroy" mission: using laser radiation, a malignant tumor is mapped, and then the cancer cells are destroyed by a laser pulse.

A new medical technology uses a femtosecond laser with a pulse duration of about one quadrillionth of a second. This allows the laser to quickly examine a specific region of the body and map the tumor. Once a tumor is detected, the laser beam's power is increased and it burns the cancer cells. Since the femtosecond laser radiation can be strictly controlled in space and time, it is possible to avoid overheating of adjacent, healthy cells.

Until now, experiments have been carried out with conventional lasers, but their long pulses caused excessive damage to the tissues surrounding the tumor. The new method of detecting and killing cancer cells has great potential: it is much more accurate than modern surgery and can be used to kill brain tumors. The femtosecond laser beam can even penetrate the thin bones of the skull and relieves the doctor of the need to perform complex and dangerous brain surgery.

The femtosecond laser is especially useful in severe cases of inoperable cancer, as well as for the rapid non-invasive destruction of small tumors, which today often require an extremely toxic chemotherapy procedure.
