Occupational Safety and Health / Legislative basis for labor protection

Technological regulations - the main technical document that defines the mode and procedure for carrying out operations of the technological process.

All technological regulations are drawn up according to the rules and forms provided for by the requirements of the current legislation. Technological regulations are approved by the heads of the enterprise or a higher organization. The head of the enterprise is obliged to ensure strict observance of the approved technological regulations with the maximum use of modern means of technical control and automatic process control.

Persons guilty of violating the current technological regulations are subject to strict disciplinary liability, unless the consequences of this violation require the application of other punishment to them.

Each technological regulation consists of the following sections:

general characteristics of production;
characteristics of manufactured products;
characteristics of raw materials, materials and semi-finished products;
description of the technological process;
technological regime norms;
possible problems, their causes and remedies;
annual rates of consumption of raw materials and energy resources;
production control;
basic rules for the safety of the process;
production waste, wastewater and air emissions;
list of mandatory instructions;
material balance;
technological scheme of production;
specification of the main technological equipment.

The main aspects of ensuring the safety of the technological process are laid down in a number of sections of the regulation.

Violation of the parameters of the technological regime is one of the main causes of emergency situations in production.

The list of indicators described in the sections of the technological regulation contains all the basic safety requirements for the technological process.
