I. General Provisions

  1. The specialist of the department of professional development of personnel reports directly to the head of the department.
  2. The specialist of the personnel professional development department is appointed and dismissed from his position by the general director on the proposal of the deputy general director for personnel.
  3. Must know:
  • current legislation and local regulatory documents of the Company relating to the work of the department.
  • organizational structure of the Company, profile, specialization and prospects for its development.
  • fundamentals of the scientific organization of labor, pedagogy, sociology, psychology.
  • ethics of business communication.
  • personal computer and office equipment as part of their job duties, have the skills to work on them.
  1. Persons with higher education (preferably a sociologist, psychologist) are appointed to the position of a specialist in the department of professional development of personnel.

II. Official duties

  1. In accordance with the Personnel Development Program and the requests of the heads of structural divisions, he is responsible for organizing various forms of training for the Company's employees:
  • initial vocational training for workers;
  • retraining of workers;
  • training in second and related professions;
  • advanced training courses, organization of in-company training for managers, specialists and employees;
  • training of the Company's employees during their internship.
  1. Prepares monthly reports on training and professional development of personnel.
  2. Develops instructive and regulatory documents (regulations, instructions, rules) for the professional development of personnel within its competence.
  3. Interacts with specialized primary, secondary and higher professional educational institutions on personnel selection, is responsible for organizing work experience for students of specialized educational institutions.
  4. Establishes contacts with educational institutions, draws up contracts for training, retraining and advanced training of the Company's employees.
  5. Forms an educational and methodological basis for industrial training at the enterprise (textbooks, curricula, exam tickets).
  6. Organizes work on the professional orientation of young people, develops educational and methodological documentation (educational and thematic plans, manuals and recommendations, timetables for study groups).
  7. Organizes and controls the work of qualification commissions, maintains documentation in accordance with training standards in the quality management system.
  8. Organizes and implements activities that promote the selection and professional development of personnel (attestation, rotation, internships, competitive selection, etc.), within its competence.
  9. Develops working material (questionnaires, tests) and forms a methodological basis for conducting sociological research.
  10. Makes up the business characteristics of employees with recommendations for the most optimal use of the professional capabilities of the individual, taking into account the prospects for his professional development.
  11. Participates in the implementation of measures for the production adaptation of newly hired employees of the Company.
  12. Analyzes the causes of employee turnover.
  13. Complies with the requirements of the Company's instructive documents for work on personal computers.
  14. Engaged in self-education according to a personal plan.

III. Rights

A specialist in the department of professional development of personnel has the right to:

  1. Submit proposals for the improvement of work related to the duties provided for in this Job Description for consideration by the head of the department.
  2. Inform the immediate supervisor of all shortcomings in the activities of the Company, its structural divisions identified in the course of the performance of their duties and make proposals for their elimination.
  3. Request personally or on behalf of the head of the department from the heads and specialists of the structural divisions of the Company information, documents necessary for the performance of their duties.

IV. A responsibility

The specialist of the department of professional development of personnel is responsible for:

  1. For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
  2. For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
  3. For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.

The benefits of education for memory retention 07.01.2024

Research from Georgetown University Medical Center suggests that education may protect memory in older adults, especially women.

New work from scientists highlights the importance of education in preserving cognitive function, especially in women, and warns against memory loss in old age. This opens up new prospects in the field of prevention and health maintenance of the elderly population.

The study's findings indicate that children, especially girls, who spend more time studying show better memory performance in old age. This discovery could have important implications for preventing memory loss in Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

The study focused on declarative memory in 704 older adults (ages 58 to 98). Declarative memory is responsible for the ability to remember events, facts, and words, such as the names of neighbors or the location of keys.

Participants were shown pictures of various objects and then, after a few minutes, checked which of them they remembered. Declarative memory performance declined with age, but women who had early education experienced less of a memory loss effect.

For men, each year of study brought a gain in memory that was twice as great as the loss associated with years of aging. While in women this increase was five times greater.

For example, an 80-year-old woman with a bachelor's degree had comparable declarative memory to a 60-year-old woman with a high school education. Thus, an additional four years of education can compensate for the memory loss caused by twenty years of aging.
