I. General Provisions

This Job Description defines the job duties, rights and responsibilities of a communal hygiene doctor.
A person with a higher medical education who has completed postgraduate training or specialization in the specialty "Communal Hygiene" is appointed to the position of a doctor in communal hygiene.
The hygienist must know:

fundamentals of Ukrainian legislation on healthcare;
legal documents regulating the activities of healthcare institutions, incl. State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision;
fundamentals of social hygiene and organization of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service in Ukraine;
sanitary legislation, the legal basis for the activities of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision;
principles of planning, forms and methods of work of the sanitary and epidemiological service;
organizational and administrative documentation, office work rules;
organization of work of laboratories;
goals and objectives, forms and methods of hygienic education and the formation of a healthy lifestyle;
principles of hygienic regulation of chemical, physical and biological factors of the environment, various types of activities and optimally permissible loads;
hygienic, physiological, clinical, physical, chemical, statistical, laboratory and instrumental research methods;
general laws and criteria of epidemiology, bioecological characteristics of infectious diseases, epidemiology and factors influencing the development of the epidemic process;
issues of epidemiological geography;
system of anti-epidemic measures;
principles of prevention and ways to eliminate infectious diseases;
principles of organizing and conducting hygienic and recreational activities;
the content of the state sanitary supervision over the construction of facilities, its forms and methods;
content, organization and methods of current sanitary supervision;
issues of organization and activities of the civil defense medical service;
fundamentals of health education;
rules of internal labor regulations;
rules and norms of labor protection, fire protection safety.

In his specialty, a communal hygienist should know:

the content and sections of communal hygiene as an independent scientific and practical discipline;
tasks, organization, structure, staffing and equipment of the communal hygiene service;
current legal and instructive and methodological documents in the specialty;
documentation rules;
the procedure for conducting sanitary and epidemiological examinations;
principles of activity planning and reporting of the communal hygiene service;
methods and procedures for monitoring its activities.

A communal hygiene doctor is appointed and dismissed by order of the head of the Gossanepidnadzor institution in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.
The communal hygiene doctor reports directly to the head of the department, and in his absence to the head of the institution of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision or his deputy.

II. Official duties

Carries out control over compliance with sanitary rules, hygiene standards, organization and implementation of sanitary and anti-epidemic (preventive) measures in the field of communal hygiene.
Participates in the preparation of proposals for projects of programs for the socio-economic development of territories and targeted programs in the field of communal hygiene.
Organizes sanitary and epidemiological examinations, investigations, examinations, studies, tests, as well as toxicological, hygienic and other types of assessments in the field of communal hygiene.
Participates in social and hygienic monitoring.
Issues sanitary and epidemiological conclusions in the specialty.
Provides consultative assistance to specialists of other departments in their specialty.
Supervises the work of secondary and junior medical personnel subordinate to him (if any), facilitates the performance of his duties.
Controls the correct operation of instruments, apparatus and equipment, the implementation of safety and labor protection rules by middle and junior medical personnel.
Participates in training sessions to improve the skills of medical personnel in their specialty.
Plans its work and analyzes the performance of its activities.
Ensures timely and high-quality execution of medical and other documentation in accordance with established rules.
Carries out sanitary-educational work.
Complies with the rules and principles of medical ethics and deontology.
Qualified and timely executes orders, orders and instructions of the management of the institution, as well as legal acts on his professional activities.
Complies with the rules of internal regulations, fire safety and safety, sanitary and epidemiological regime.
Promptly takes measures, including timely informing the management, to eliminate violations of safety, fire and sanitary rules that pose a threat to the activities of the healthcare institution, its employees and visitors.
Systematically improves his skills.

III. Rights

The Communal Hygiene Doctor has the right to:

use all the powers established by the law "On the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population";
make proposals to the management of the institution to improve the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision, issues of organization and conditions of their work;
control the work of subordinate employees (if any), give them orders within the framework of their official duties and demand their precise execution, make proposals to the management of the institution on their encouragement or imposition of penalties;
request, receive and use information materials and legal documents necessary for the performance of their duties;
take part in scientific and practical conferences and meetings, which discuss issues related to its work;
pass certification in accordance with the established procedure with the right to obtain the appropriate qualification category;
improve their qualifications at refresher courses at least once every 5 years.

IV. A responsibility

The Community Hygienist is responsible for:

timely and high-quality implementation of the duties assigned to him;
organization of their work, timely and qualified execution of orders, instructions and instructions of the management, regulatory legal acts on their activities;
compliance with internal regulations, fire safety and safety;
timely and high-quality execution of medical and other official documentation provided for by the current regulatory documents;
providing, in accordance with the established procedure, statistical and other information on its activities;
ensuring compliance with executive discipline and performance of their duties by subordinate employees (if any);
promptly taking measures, including timely informing the management, to eliminate violations of safety regulations, fire and other rules that pose a threat to the activities of the Gossanepidnadzor institution, its employees and visitors.

For violation of labor discipline, legislative and regulatory legal acts, a communal hygiene doctor can be brought to disciplinary, material, administrative and criminal liability in accordance with the current legislation, depending on the severity of the misconduct.

Kingston SSDNow E50 Solid State Drives 04.09.2013

Kingston Digital introduced the SSDNow E50 enterprise solid state drives. According to the manufacturer, these drives allow "performance-conscious organizations that do not have stringent durability requirements to get the same enterprise-level performance as Kingston SSDNow E100 drives, but at a more attractive price."

The drives are 2,5-inch (69,9 x 100 x 7 mm). They are based on SandForce-SF2581 controllers and equipped with SATA 6 Gb/s interface. Available in 100, 240 and 480 GB models. The sequential read speed reaches 550 MB/s, and the maximum sequential write speed depends on the volume: in the case of 100 and 240 GB models it is 530 MB/s, in the case of the older model it is 500 MB/s.

In terms of performance on random access operations in blocks of 4 KB, in the case of a 100 GB model, it reaches 27 IOPS in read mode and 000 IOPS in write mode. The 82 GB model shows 000 and 240 IOPS, while the 48 GB model shows 000 and 72 IOPS, respectively.

Drives with a capacity of 100, 240 and 480 GB are designed for recording during the service life of 310, 739 and 1747 TB of information, respectively. For comparison: the aforementioned 100, 100 and 200 GB SSDNow E400 drives have a resource of 428, 857 and 1714 TB. There is no data on the price of the new Kingston SSDs yet.
