I. General Provisions

  1. An electrician belongs to the category of workers.
  2. A person with specialized secondary education in the relevant profile and work experience _______ is appointed to the position of electrician.
  3. Appointment to the position of electrician and dismissal from it are made by order of the manager upon the recommendation of _______.
  4. The electrician must know:
  • Ukrainian legislation;
  • fundamentals of electrical engineering, radio engineering, telemechanics, electronics, design and electrical circuits of various electrical machines, devices, measuring instruments;
  • device, principle of operation, technical characteristics and design features of the serviced devices and equipment;
  • design, methods and rules for testing the accuracy of various electrical machines, electrical devices and devices of any power and voltage;
  • telecontrol and automatic control circuits, methods for their adjustment and repair;
  • rules for servicing complex logic circuits;
  • methods of complex testing of electric machines, electric devices and devices;
  • technology of work with epoxy materials;
  • rules for repair and installation of cable networks in explosive, fire-hazardous and other difficult conditions;
  • rules for drawing up electrical diagrams and other technical documentation for electrical equipment in the power supply network;
  • load standards for electric motors, transformers, cables and wires of various sections and voltages;
  • electrical diagrams of primary and secondary switching of distribution devices;
  • principle of operation of protections with high-frequency blocking;
  • characteristic types of damage to electrical devices and methods for eliminating them;
  • organization and technology of electrical work;
  • consumption rates of materials, spare parts and electricity;
  • fundamentals of economics, organization of production, labor and management;
  • rules of internal labor regulations;
  • rules and norms of labor protection, safety precautions, industrial sanitation and fire protection;

The electrician reports to _______.

II. Official duties

The electrician performs the following functions:

  1. Ensures the good condition, trouble-free and reliable operation of the serviced devices and equipment, their correct operation, timely high-quality repairs, in particular:
  • dismantling, overhaul, assembly, installation and alignment of high-voltage electrical machines and electrical devices of various types and systems with voltage over 15 kV;
  • adjustment, repair and regulation of critical, especially complex, experimental circuits of technological equipment, complex electrical circuits of automatic lines, as well as critical and experimental electrical machines, electrical devices, electrical appliances and electrical circuits of unique and precision metalworking equipment;
  • maintenance, adjustment and regulation of electrical recording and electronic devices;
  • maintenance and adjustment of ignitron welding machines with electronics, ultrasonic, electronic, electric pulse installations, particularly complex distance protections, automatic reserve switching devices, as well as complex circuits using semiconductor installations on transistor and logical elements;
  • verification of accuracy classes of measuring transformers;
  • performing work on repair, installation and dismantling of cable lines in special pipelines filled with oil or gas under pressure;
  • complex epoxy terminations in high-voltage cable networks, as well as installation of couplings between copper and aluminum cables;
  • comprehensive testing of electric motors, electrical devices and transformers of various capacities after major repairs;
  • preparation of repaired electrical equipment for commissioning.
  1. It studies the operating conditions of devices, identifies the causes of premature wear, and takes measures to prevent and eliminate them.
  2. Instructs workers using these devices on the rules of their use and measures to prevent work-related injuries.
  3. Participates in the elimination of malfunctions in the operation of devices, their repair, installation and adjustment, electrical measurements and tests.
  4. Masters and implements progressive methods of maintenance, repair, installation and other work on a fixed type of device.
  5. Takes part in the development of measures to improve the reliability, quality of work of fixed technical means, in the development and modernization of existing devices.
  6. Participates in the preparation of applications for materials, spare parts, tools and ensures their economical and rational use.
  7. Performs work on repair, assembly and regulation of particularly complex, critical and experimental electrical machines, electrical devices and electrical appliances.
  8. Carries out comprehensive tests of electric motors, electrical devices and transformers of various capacities after major repairs.
  9. Prepares repaired electrical equipment for commissioning.

III. Rights

The electrician has the right:

  1. get acquainted with the draft decisions of the management of the enterprise relating to its activities;
  2. submit proposals for the management's consideration to improve work related to the duties provided for in this Job Description;
  3. inform the immediate supervisor about all shortcomings in the production activities of the enterprise (its structural divisions) identified during the performance of their official duties and make proposals for their elimination;
  4. request personally or on behalf of the immediate supervisor from heads of departments of the enterprise and specialists information and documents necessary to fulfill their official duties;
  5. involve specialists from all (separate) structural divisions of the enterprise in solving the tasks assigned to it (if it is provided for by the regulations on structural divisions, if not, with the permission of the head of the enterprise);
  6. require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of their duties and rights;

IV. A responsibility

The electrician is responsible for:

  1. for improper performance or failure to fulfill their official duties as provided for in this Job Description, within the limits determined by the labor legislation of Ukraine.
  2. for offenses committed in the course of carrying out its activities - within the limits determined by the administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
  3. for causing material damage - within the limits determined by the labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.
