I. General Provisions

A cargo tracing agent belongs to the category of technical performers.
A person who has a secondary or secondary vocational (technical) education and special training in accordance with the established program is appointed to the position of an agent for the search for goods.
Appointment to the position and dismissal from it is carried out by order _______.
A tracing agent must know:

rules for the carriage of goods and baggage;
cargo search method;
forms of cargo transportation documents;
commercial reporting instructions;
scheme of the corresponding transport network;
the main transport routes and points for the carriage of goods and baggage;
fundamentals of labor legislation;
rules of internal labor regulations;
regulations, instructions and other guidance documents on the terms of reference.

During the absence of an agent for the search for goods (illness, vacation, etc.), his duties are performed by a person appointed in the prescribed manner. This person acquires the appropriate rights and is responsible for the quality and timely fulfillment of the duties assigned to him.

II. Official duties

Cargo Tracing Agent:

Carries out a search for baggage and cargo according to received claims.
Draws up commercial acts in case of separation of baggage and cargo from documents and non-safety of luggage and cargo.
Takes part in the inspection and prepares reports on non-safety of goods.
Accepts and processes incoming and outgoing commercial acts, telegrams, acts of commission checks and examinations.
Investigates cases of unsafe transportation on operational reports, commercial acts, claims and lawsuits of consignees and consignors and prepares conclusions on them.
Participates in the consideration of claims in arbitration courts.
Prepares documents for unclaimed baggage and cargo by recipients for their implementation.
Maintains books of accounting for the search for baggage and cargo and registration of commercial acts.
Ensures the safety, accounting and systematization of strict reporting forms and other documents for unsafe cargo and luggage.
Prepares transportation documents for centralized export and forwarding of goods.
Maintains a file cabinet for unsafe cargo and luggage.

III. Rights

The cargo tracing agent has the right to:

Submit proposals for improvement of the work related to the responsibilities provided for in this instruction for consideration by the management.
Within the limits of his competence, report to his immediate supervisor about all the shortcomings identified in the course of his activities and make proposals for their elimination.
To request personally or on behalf of his immediate supervisor from the heads of departments of the enterprise and specialists information and documents necessary for the performance of his duties.
Require the management of the enterprise to assist in the performance of his duties and rights.

IV. A responsibility

The cargo tracing agent is responsible for:

For improper performance or non-performance of their official duties provided for by this Job Description - within the limits determined by the current labor legislation of Ukraine.
For offenses committed in the course of carrying out their activities - within the limits determined by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation of Ukraine.
For causing material damage - within the limits determined by the current labor and civil legislation of Ukraine.
