Safe Operation

Introduction

Drivers of mobile power plants (hereinafter referred to as "engineers") in the performance of work according to their qualifications are required to comply with the safety requirements set forth in the "Standard instructions for labor protection for workers in the construction, building materials industry and housing and communal services", this standard instruction, developed taking into account building codes and regulations of the Russian Federation, "Safety regulations for the operation of consumer electrical installations", as well as the requirements of manufacturers' instructions for the operation of a mobile power plant (hereinafter referred to as the "power plant").

Safety requirements before starting work

Before starting work, the driver must:

a) present to the manager a certificate of verification of knowledge of safe working methods and be instructed at the workplace on the specifics of the work performed;

b) put on overalls, special footwear and a helmet of the established sample;

c) inspect and accept the power plant from the driver of the previous shift and receive an assignment from the work manager.

After receiving the assignment, the driver must:

a) check the presence of reliable fences of all elements of the electrical equipment of the control panel, the presence and serviceability of the fences of the rotating parts of the power plant, the grounding of the power plant, the correctness and reliability of the fastening of electrical wires and the integrity of their insulation, the compliance of the fuse links with the rated power of the generator, the tightening of bolted connections and the reliability of fastening the engine and generator power plants, integrity and tension of V-belt transmission, refilling of power supply, lubrication and cooling systems;

b) check the availability and serviceability of the tools and protective equipment necessary for work: a test lamp or voltage indicator, dielectric gloves, galoshes or boots, rugs and insulating supports, insulating pliers, tools with insulated handles;

c) make sure that fire extinguishing equipment is available.

The driver is prohibited from starting work in the event of:

a) malfunction or incomplete number of fasteners and guards;

b) the presence of visible damage to the insulation of electrical cables or wires;

c) absence or malfunction of protective grounding;

d) detection of oil or fuel leaks in the oil and fuel pipelines of the respective systems;

e) lack of protective equipment, tools and fire extinguishing equipment;

f) location of the power plant in a hazardous area from operating mechanisms and buildings under construction.

Detected violations of safety requirements should be eliminated on their own, and if it is impossible to do this, the driver is obliged to report them to the work manager and the person responsible for maintaining the power plant in good condition.

Safety requirements during work

When inspecting the fuel system, components and mechanisms of the power plant, as well as when refueling at night, you should use a portable electric lamp.

When starting the power plant, the driver must:

a) before starting the engine, check the position of the control panel switches and make sure that they are in the neutral position;

b) start the engine with a starter (or handle);

c) after sufficient warming up of the engine, smoothly turn the rheostat handle to bring the voltage to the nominal value, give a signal to turn on the external network and gradually introduce the load;

d) after turning on the load, check the operation of all units and the parameters of the electric current in the network;

e) when knocking and other extraneous noises appear, stop the engine and eliminate the malfunction.

During the operation of the power plant, the driver must:

a) monitor the operation of the automatic engine speed controller, as well as the readings of the instruments on the control panel: monitor changes in oil pressure and temperature, generator temperature;

b) monitor the connections of the fuel lines, the tightness of the joint between the head and the cylinder block, preventing fuel leakage and breakdown of exhaust gases;

c) prevent loosening of the engine or generator fastening to the frame, if necessary, stop the engine and tighten the fastening bolts;

d) inspect electrical equipment and live parts without penetrating the grids, doors and other fences of the power plant;

e) use an electric knife switch, dielectric gloves, a dielectric stand or a rug when turning on or off external power networks;

f) open the radiator cap with an overheated engine in a mitten, turning your face away from the filler pipe.

The driver is prohibited from:

a) pour gasoline into the inlet pipe when starting the engine;

b) take the handle with your fingers in a girth in order to avoid a reverse blow by the handle when starting an overheated engine;

c) use oxygen instead of compressed air or nitrogen when starting the engine;

d) use an open flame when refueling the fuel tank, as well as when inspecting the fuel system and for warming up the fuel and oil pipelines:

e) hit with steel (or other, capable of causing sparks) objects on the plugs of the fuel tanks of the power plant and fuel drums when they are opened;

f) measure the oil level with random objects;

g) exceed the rated loads of the generator indicated in the passport of the machine.

Each time the power plant is turned on after a power outage in the external network, the driver must give a warning signal about the resumption of electricity supply.

If it is necessary to install the power plant indoors, the driver is obliged to check the ventilation of the room and not allow the installation of the power plant to work in a room with a volume of less than 20 times the volume of the power plant.

When relocating the power plant to another facility, the driver should:

a) drain fuel from tanks into barrels;

b) disconnect the electrical cables, roll them into coils and put them in boxes;

c) close the electrical connectors with covers;

d) dismantle the ground loop;

e) to fix the units, assemblies and tools;

f) inspect the running gear of the power plant;

g) check the serviceability of the towing device.

Safety requirements in emergency situations

In case of ignition of fuel at the power plant, the driver is obliged to stop the admission of fuel to the fires. The flames should be extinguished with a fire extinguisher, sand, earth, covered with felt, tarpaulin. It is forbidden to pour water on burning fuel, electrical equipment and electrical wires that are energized.

In the event of brush sparking while the generator is running, it is necessary to stop the engine, find out the cause and eliminate the malfunction.

When reporting an accident on a power line or power plant, the driver is obliged to immediately turn off the generator.

Safety requirements at the end of work

At the end of the work, the driver must:

a) disconnect external power lines;

b) stop the engine;

c) conduct a control inspection of the power plant and clean the units from dust and dirt;

d) check the tightness of the contacts on the current-carrying parts of the generator, clean the burnt contacts to a metallic sheen;

e) tidy up the workplace, collect oiled rags and put them in a special metal box;

e) put in order and put in the designated place the tools and fixtures;

g) inform the supervisor or person responsible for maintaining the machine in good condition about all the problems that have arisen during work.

Latest news of science and technology, new electronics:

The existence of an entropy rule for quantum entanglement has been proven 09.05.2024

Quantum mechanics continues to amaze us with its mysterious phenomena and unexpected discoveries. Recently, Bartosz Regula from the RIKEN Center for Quantum Computing and Ludovico Lamy from the University of Amsterdam presented a new discovery that concerns quantum entanglement and its relation to entropy. Quantum entanglement plays an important role in modern quantum information science and technology. However, the complexity of its structure makes understanding and managing it challenging. Regulus and Lamy's discovery shows that quantum entanglement follows an entropy rule similar to that for classical systems. This discovery opens new perspectives in the field of quantum information science and technology, deepening our understanding of quantum entanglement and its connection to thermodynamics. The results of the study indicate the possibility of reversibility of entanglement transformations, which could greatly simplify their use in various quantum technologies. Opening a new rule ... >>
