What is reincarnation?

You are sleeping and you have a dream in which you are doing something. And at the same time, your body is sleeping! What or who is this other "you" who does everything in a dream? Primitive man did not understand, as we understand now, what sleep is. He believed that a part of himself leaves the body during sleep, and this "part" was considered the soul. But if the soul can leave the body during sleep, then after death the soul also leaves it.

On the basis of this, a belief in reincarnation arose, as well as a belief in the transmigration of souls into another body. The new body can be any living being, that is, there is a second birth or reincarnation.

But not only primitive man believed in this. The ancient Egyptians made it part of their religion. That is why they embalmed the dead in order to prevent or delay the transmigration of the soul. Many great Greek philosophers, such as Plato, Pythagoras, also believed in the transmigration of souls. Reincarnation is a part of Buddhism and certainly an important part of early Christianity. The forms of reincarnation found in different countries differ from each other.

There are even many descriptions of how the soul leaves the human body. In some parts of India, it is depicted as an insect. In Europe, it was a bird, most often a dove. Sometimes the soul leaving the body was depicted as a butterfly.

Many of those who believe in reincarnation believe that the soul can only enter the bodies of sentient beings. But there are also those who think about its relocation into the bodies of insects, animals, such as, for example, tigers, sharks, crocodiles. And in some places they even believe that souls can move into flowers.

Random interesting fact from the Great Encyclopedia:

What does physiognomy study?

Physiognomy is the doctrine of the expression of a person's character in facial features and body shapes, of the necessary connection between the external appearance of a person and his character.

Physiognomy is rooted in the tradition of everyday experience, which has been deposited in folklore since time immemorial, in the legends of various healers and fortune-tellers. Physiognomic observations were recorded in the cultures of the Ancient East, and in the ancient era they received a systematic form similar to the structure of other scientific disciplines of that time. The subject of the classifying description was the proportions of the face and body, characteristic mines, gestures and postures, bodily structure and posture.

Some Western European scientists of the XNUMXth-XNUMXth centuries returned to physiognomy, but the approval of new scientific criteria in the XNUMXth-XNUMXth centuries threw physiognomy into the realm of everyday empiricism and intuition.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

Alibaba AI Copywriter 15.07.2018

Chinese Internet giant Alibaba has developed a program that can do the job that copywriters usually do - generate detailed text descriptions of products.

The AI copywriter was developed by Alimama, a division of Alibaba. The system uses deep learning and natural language processing technologies and can generate textual product descriptions.

According to the developers, the system has been trained on millions of existing examples of quality descriptions and can produce 20 lines of text per second. The program is reportedly already being used, in particular for Alibaba's Tmall and Taobao platforms. For example, various brands and advertisers type in a link to a product and then ask the program to show various ideas for text. It is noted that users of the system can choose the length and even the style of the text. The tool, according to the developers, is used on average about a million times a day.

Alimama believes that such a tool significantly changes the work of human copywriters - now they do not need to come up with a text, but just choose the most suitable option from those offered by the machine. Thus, as noted, the efficiency is also greatly increased. At the same time, the company says that the system cannot replace the creativity of people - it just allows people to direct their energy to more creative work.
