VESA VDC-M compression standard 17.05.2018

VESA has introduced Display Compression-M (VDC-M) - a new compression standard for interfaces for connecting built-in displays of mobile devices, including smartphones.

Developed in collaboration with MIPI, it provides higher compression (up to 5:1) than the VESA Display Stream Compression (DSC) standard, which provides compression up to 3:1.
