Focus Description:

The performer asks the audience to lend him a banknote in denominations of 3-5 rubles for a while. But before taking a piece of paper from the hands of the viewer, he asks to write down its series and number, and also mark it with some kind of sign. After that, taking a three-ruble piece of paper and folding it four times, the performer puts it in his left palm. Clutching the money in his fist, he holds it high above his head, and with his right hand he takes out a small metal pencil case of golden color in the form of a cylinder from his jacket pocket.

The cap of the pencil case is closed with a padlock on one side and tightly screwed on with a screw on the other. Holding the pencil case in the right hand at the same level as the left, the performer makes a pass with the left hand towards the right. Then he opens his left palm, in which a three-ruble bill was clamped - the palm turns out to be empty. The performer reassures the owner and assures that his money is safe and sound. "Only they mysteriously passed from the hand into this pencil case," the performer says and hands the pencil case to the viewer who gave the three-ruble bill. The spectator takes the pencil case in disbelief and sees that it is securely locked and screwed on with a screw (Fig. 51).

The performer hands the viewer a key and offers to open the lock. Having freed the cover of the pencil case from the lock and the screw, the viewer removes the banknote from the cylinder. The audience applauds, but the performer, raising his hand, calms the audience and offers to check the banknote number. The number is the same, and the "tick" in the corner is the one with which the owner marked the piece of paper.

Focus secret:

The secret of the focus is in the pencil case. It has a cylindrical shape. It is desirable that the pencil case be made of yellow metal, polished to a shine. The dimensions are approximately the following: height - 12-15 cm, diameter - 3 cm.

The pencil case consists of three main parts: a lid, a cylinder and a retractable secret bottom with a trough-shaped plate, which is the second inner wall (Fig. 51, B). The lid has a screw hole on one side. On the opposite side, closer to the edge, in its lower part there is one bracket for the lock, and on the outer side of the hollow cylinder of the second part of the case, a second bracket for the lock is soldered at a distance from the edge equal to the height of the case cover.

You need to "charge" the pencil case in the following sequence: first, a cover is put on the cylinder of the pencil case, so that the brackets for the lock are next to each other, snugly adjacent to each other. They put a lock on them and lock them with a key. Tightly screw the wall of the cover to the wall of the cylinder with a screw. Now it remains only to push inward, into the lower part of the pencil case, a secret wall with a bottom.

Before demonstrating the trick, it is enough to push the bottom with a secret wall halfway out of the pencil case and put the pencil case in the right pocket of the jacket. Then you can proceed to demonstrate the focus, as described at the beginning. When the viewer hands over a banknote, the performer folds it four times and pretends to put it in his left hand. In fact, the bill remains in the right hand. Focusing the attention of the audience on the left hand clenched into a fist, the performer, meanwhile, puts his right hand in his pocket and puts money on the secret bottom of the pencil case (Fig. 51, B). Then he quickly and firmly pushes it inside and, taking the pencil case out of his pocket, holds it in his right hand. Having made two passes for visibility with his left hand towards the pencil case, the performer opens the palm of his left hand, and the audience sees that the banknote has disappeared. Then the performer gives his pencil case to the spectator who lent the money and invites him to open it with a key, as described at the beginning.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. Three-dimensional image on the monitor screen 26.06.2002

The New Zealand company Deep Video Imaging (DVI) has registered a patent for the design of monitors capable of reproducing a three-dimensional image, which is obtained by superimposing images reproduced by two superimposed liquid crystal panels.

This 15D monitor can work with a standard high performance video adapter. All you need is the right software for this. The company is already offering prototypes of LG/Philips LCD 3-inch XNUMXD monitors.

According to D. Hancock, head of DVI, the production cost of a 70D monitor is about XNUMX% higher than that of a conventional flat panel display.
