EFFECTIVE FOCUSES AND THEIR CLUES Talking coin. Focus secret Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: The magician asks someone for a coin (preferably a large one, for example, 5 kopecks or 1 ruble). The spectator marks the coin and passes it to the performer. He, approaching the table standing on the stage, puts a coin on it from the side, takes a glass and, having shown it to everyone, puts it on the "magic" wand. Putting the glass on the table, the performer says that from the touch of the "magic" wand, the glass acquired magical properties. He takes a coin and, touching it with a stick, declares that the coin now also has extraordinary properties. "You don't believe it?" he addresses the audience. "The coin can now speak. Don't you believe it again?" - He puts it in a glass standing on a table, transfers the table to the middle of the stage and continues to explain to the audience that the coin is just learning to speak and so far can only speak two words: "yes" and "no", she answers with a knock. "If a coin in a glass hits once, then it means" yes ", if twice -" no ". Am I telling the truth?" - asks the magician. The coin in the glass knocks once and bounces slightly. "Hear - yes! Does the coin have the mood to answer questions from the audience?" The coin knocks once. "Won't the coin be capricious?" - asks the performer. The coin in response knocks twice. "No? Good!" - The magician goes to the audience and asks comic questions, to which the coin answers with a knock. For example: "Is this young man single? (the coin knocks twice). Yeah, so he is married? (the coin knocks twice again). Well, well! Does he have children? (the coin knocks once). So! And how many ?" (the coin begins to knock often and a lot). The artist, horrified, runs up to the glass and covers it with his hand, but the coin continues to knock. The magician takes a glass from the table and walks with it to the front of the stage. The audience sees that the coin is hanging on a thread, the end of which is held by an assistant who went on stage. The assistant pulls the thread, and the coin, jumping up, knocks in the glass (Fig. 48, A).
Finally, the illusionist notices his "awkwardness" and pulls the coin out of the glass by the string. “Well, it happens that way,” he says, and, taking the coin, gives it to the viewer, who confirms that it really belongs to him. Props: Little table. Glass. Long strong black thread. "Magic wand. A coin borrowed from the audience. Focus secret: The secret of the focus is clear from the description of the external effect. It only remains for us to give some instructions for execution. A small tablecloth is laid on the table and attached to it with buttons. From the edge (farthest from the audience) a pin is injected into the tablecloth (Fig. 48, B), under which a thread with a knot is passed. A small ball of wax is attached to its end and placed on the table behind a glass. Before putting the coin into the glass, the conjurer, choosing the most suitable moment for himself, imperceptibly sticks a wax ball to the coin and lowers it into the glass. This trick, sprinkled with jokes, always causes a cheerful animation in the auditorium. Especially effective is the unexpected ending - the exposure of the trick. Author: Vadimov A.A.
