Focus Description:

An ordinary soccer ball is given to the audience for inspection, after which it is placed in a black bag made to size. The bag is tightened, tightly tied with a ribbon and sealed with a wax seal.

The magician takes a small box, slightly larger than a ball, opens it and shows that a hole four centimeters in diameter has been made in the top cover. The illusionist puts the bag with the ball sealed in it into the box, and passes the top of the neck of the bag out through the hole in the lid. Then the box is locked with a key and placed on the table. The performer begins to slowly pull the bag out of the box (Fig. 203).

Having pulled it out with everything, the magician draws the attention of the audience to the fact that the bag is completely intact, tied and sealed. Having taken out the ball, the bag is given to the spectators for inspection, as well as the box. Everyone sees that it is completely empty.

Props:

Soccer ball.

A box with a secret device.

Two completely identical black bags.

Satin ribbon 1,5 cm wide for tying the bag.

Wax and seal.

Focus secret:

To perform the trick, two completely identical black satin bags are used. One is carefully folded and placed in the other. When the ball is lowered, the inner bag is lightly pressed with fingers to the edge of the outer one. Putting the ball in the outer bag, squeeze the neck of the inner bag in the hand and pushing it up, slightly mask the upper edge of the outer bag with your hand; with the other hand, tightly wrap the neck with tape several times, making sure that the connection of the upper edges of the two bags is hidden.

After the bag is wrapped with ribbon, it is tied and the ends are sealed. When tying the ribbon, carefully and tightly wrap first the neck of the inner bag (empty), and then, already weaker, tighten the edges of the outer one, in which the ball is placed. You need to tie it so that with a slight effort you can pull the inner bag out of the outer one along with the tape tying it. Grasp the outer bag with one or two turns of tape, making sure that it cannot be untied and pops out ahead of time.

Putting the bags in the box, with an imperceptible movement of the hand, the tape is shifted from the neck of the outer bag and the neck of the inner bag is passed through the hole in the lid of the box. After that, they begin to slowly pull out the inner, sealed bag from the box. The outer ball bag remains inside. The ball is carefully removed from it, imperceptibly leaving the bag inside, where it hides under the drop-down flap of the box, which snaps into place with a lock. If you now turn the box over, the bag will not fall out of it. This can be easily understood from Fig. 204, which shows a section of the box. The fallen wall and the bag lying under it are clearly visible.

The falling wall is held and lowered by a latch L, arranged in one of the sides of the box. On fig. 205 shows a section of the outer bag B with a soccer ball and an inner bag A lying inside it.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

When the phone is life-threatening 06.02.2008

Specialists from the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam, Holland exposed various modern medical devices, mainly used in intensive care units and intensive care units, to radiation from cell phones. A total of 61 devices were tested - artificial lungs, monitors of the patient's condition, heart pacemakers and others.

It turned out that a third of the tested devices do not respond well to electromagnetic waves from the phone. They can turn off, malfunction or interfere with the normal rhythm of work, which can be extremely dangerous for patients. Especially dangerous were the signals of phones operating in the GPRS standard (these are phones with an Internet connection). They can affect medical devices from a distance of up to three meters.

The signals used in 3G networks are only valid from a distance of a few centimeters. Although many hospitals prohibit cell phone calls, especially in rooms with electronic equipment, these prohibitions are poorly enforced - and above all by the doctors themselves.
