Focus Description:

In this puzzle, the paradox with lines is given a circular shape and straight line segments are replaced by figures of 13 warriors:

Focus Vanishing Warrior

At the same time, a large arrow points to the northeast of S.V. If, however, the rice cooker is cut along a circle, and then the inner part begins to turn counterclockwise, then the figures will first be divided into parts, then unite again, but in a different way, and when a large arrow will point to the northwest NW, there will be 12 warriors in the figure:

Focus Vanishing Warrior

When the circle is rotated in the opposite direction until the large arrow is back on N. B, the disappeared warrior will reappear.

If you take a closer look at the drawing, you will notice that the two warriors in the lower left part of the drawing are located in a special way: they are opposite each other, while all the rest are placed in a chain. These two figures correspond to the extreme lines in the line segment paradox. Based on the requirements of the drawing, each of these figures should be missing a part of the leg, and in order to make this defect less noticeable in the turned position of the wheel, it would be better to depict them side by side.

Turning the wheel further, you can get fourteen, fifteen, etc. warriors, but as their number increases, it becomes more and more clear that each of the figures is very thin, providing material for other figures. We also note that the warriors are depicted in the figure with much more ingenuity than it might seem at first glance. So, for example, in order for the figures to remain in a vertical position in all places of the globe, it is necessary in one case to have the right leg instead of the left, and in the other, on the contrary, instead of the right leg, the left.

Machine for thinning flowers in gardens 02.05.2024

In modern agriculture, technological progress is developing aimed at increasing the efficiency of plant care processes. The innovative Florix flower thinning machine was presented in Italy, designed to optimize the harvesting stage. This tool is equipped with mobile arms, allowing it to be easily adapted to the needs of the garden. The operator can adjust the speed of the thin wires by controlling them from the tractor cab using a joystick. This approach significantly increases the efficiency of the flower thinning process, providing the possibility of individual adjustment to the specific conditions of the garden, as well as the variety and type of fruit grown in it. After testing the Florix machine for two years on various types of fruit, the results were very encouraging. Farmers such as Filiberto Montanari, who has used a Florix machine for several years, have reported a significant reduction in the time and labor required to thin flowers. ... >>

Advanced Infrared Microscope 02.05.2024

Microscopes play an important role in scientific research, allowing scientists to delve into structures and processes invisible to the eye. However, various microscopy methods have their limitations, and among them was the limitation of resolution when using the infrared range. But the latest achievements of Japanese researchers from the University of Tokyo open up new prospects for studying the microworld. Scientists from the University of Tokyo have unveiled a new microscope that will revolutionize the capabilities of infrared microscopy. This advanced instrument allows you to see the internal structures of living bacteria with amazing clarity on the nanometer scale. Typically, mid-infrared microscopes are limited by low resolution, but the latest development from Japanese researchers overcomes these limitations. According to scientists, the developed microscope allows creating images with a resolution of up to 120 nanometers, which is 30 times higher than the resolution of traditional microscopes. ... >>

Air trap for insects 01.05.2024

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy, and pest control is an integral part of this process. A team of scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Central Potato Research Institute (ICAR-CPRI), Shimla, has come up with an innovative solution to this problem - a wind-powered insect air trap. This device addresses the shortcomings of traditional pest control methods by providing real-time insect population data. The trap is powered entirely by wind energy, making it an environmentally friendly solution that requires no power. Its unique design allows monitoring of both harmful and beneficial insects, providing a complete overview of the population in any agricultural area. “By assessing target pests at the right time, we can take necessary measures to control both pests and diseases,” says Kapil ... >>

3D surgeon helmet 03.08.2013

Sony has been producing 3D headsets for entertainment purposes since 2011. Now the company has decided to release a similar solution for medical needs. The already existing model HMZ-T2 was converted into the HMM-3000MT, which will be used as an endoscope.

The 3D helmet will help the surgeon literally look inside the patient, and this can be done both in 2D and 3D modes. Compared to a classic endoscope, the accuracy of the device readings and the convenience of the doctor are increased. After all, the surgeon no longer has to monitor the external screen.

The HMM-3000MT has the same 0,7' OLED screen as the "civilian" version, with a resolution of 720p. However, the medical device has been optimized for standing use and has received balance support systems. There is also a picture-in-picture mode and the ability to flip the image.
