EFFECTIVE FOCUSES AND THEIR CLUES The knot passes through the hand. Focus secret Directory / Spectacular tricks and their clues Focus Description: The magician shows the audience an ordinary handkerchief. A spectator invited to the stage stands to the left of the magician and extends his hand at waist level. Taking hold of the diagonally opposite corners of the scarf, the magician twists the scarf into a loose rope and ties it around the spectator's wrist. With a sharp jerk, the handkerchief penetrates the hand in front of the public. The magician is holding a handkerchief with a newly tied loop still on it! Focus secret: This trick can be called a small pearl of the art of illusion: it can be performed always and everywhere. All you need for it is a large pocket handkerchief: square with a side of about half a meter - standard magician's "silk". Focus is based on trick Melted Knot. 1. Grasp the diagonally opposite ends of the scarf A and B and loosely twist it into a rope. 2. Then wrap the scarf around the spectator's left wrist and take both ends of the scarf in the left hand, preparing the Melt Knot trick. 3. The spectator holds his hand in the same position, and you put your right hand through the loop and take hold of end A. Pull this end through the loop and tie a knot according to the "Melted Knot". 4. Note. When you pull the ends of the knot in opposite directions (end B to the right), you should hold the small loop on end A with the middle finger of your left hand, as indicated in the technique of the previous trick. This small loop is located under end A between the scarf and the spectator's wrist. As long as you press this loop firmly against the spectator's wrist, you can pull hard on the ends and pull the knot tight. Once the knot is tightened, the loop can be released. 5. Then with your right hand, move end A to the left around the spectator's wrist. The left hand continues to hold end A. End B should be in front of end A. 6. After you have wrapped end B around the spectator's wrist, you will get the following picture. 7. You have one real knot on top of the fake one. As a result, end A will be in the left hand, and end B will be in the right. 8. Taking one end in each hand, pull them. As a result, the fake knot around the wrist will "melt" and the audience will appear as if the loop formed by the knot has passed through the hand. Proof of this is the real loop knot left on the scarf. 9. Note. After you have tied both knots, invite the spectator to clasp their hands. The mystery of what happened will only increase, since the last possibility of deception - removing the noose through the fingers - is excluded. In addition, when tying a false knot in step 3, try to place it slightly off-center so that end A is slightly longer than end B. This way, you will have a long enough end in your hands that will be comfortable to wrap around your wrist in step 5. This is an example of a great magic trick - an impromptu trick that can be performed even to one person with the same success as in a large audience.
