Focus Description:

On the illusion table is an ordinary bottle. The artist approaches the table, takes it and shows it to the audience. Then he takes a piece of cord out of his pocket, lowers the end of it into the neck of the bottle, and the bottle hangs on the cord. Spectators closely follow the actions of the magician. It seems to them that the bottle is about to fall off the cord. But the performer, holding the free end of the cord in his hand, begins to spin the bottle, at first quietly, and then more and more strongly. The bottle is firmly held on the cord. Then the artist approaches the auditorium and "throws" the bottle at the audience. The spectators are frightened, but their fears are in vain, as the bottle is still hanging on the cord.

Focus secret:

First of all, the performer will need a dark glass bottle. It can be a regular fruit water bottle. In addition, one and a half to two meters of a clothesline and a cork from a wine bottle will be needed.

Props are prepared as follows. The performer takes the bottle intended for this trick and pushes the cork into it. This is the main secret of focus. Then the bottle is filled with water up to the neck. As the water level rises in the bottle, the cork floating on the surface will also rise. As soon as the water reaches the neck of the bottle, the cork will be pressed tightly against the inlet of the neck opening of the bottle.

Now we need to prepare the rope. One end of the rope should be wrapped with a thread or tied into a knot so that it does not shag. The latter can make it difficult to demonstrate focus.

When all the props are ready, you can start demonstrating the number. So, the performer, taking a bottle from the table in his left hand, and in the right end of the cord, wrapped with thread, shows the audience that there are no devices in the neck of the bottle. The artist even introduces the end of the cord into it, doing this several times. During this procedure, the performer tries to touch the cork with a cord only slightly. And introducing the cord into the neck of the bottle for the last time, he pushes it as deep as possible, pushing the cork away with the cord. The performer then pulls the cord back. The cork under the influence of the cord will enter the neck of the bottle, firmly pressing the end of the cord against the bottle wall.

Now the artist can twist and even throw a bottle at the audience. This should be done naturally, carefully, softening the shocks and avoiding sudden movements.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

Shockproof music center 03.08.2004

The German company "Bosch" has begun production of a music center for construction sites.

The electronics of the center are surrounded by a solid frame made of steel tubes and rubber shock absorbers. At an exhibition of construction equipment held in the USA, a company representative demonstrated the strength of the product by throwing a working "music box" from end to end of the hall. At the same time, the CD being played did not even stutter.

Without harm to itself, the music center also endures a fall from the second floor. The electronics are protected not only from shock, but also from moisture penetration, so that they can work in the rain. Works both from batteries, and from a network.
