Take a small bottle or bottle (for example, from a triple cologne), drill a hole in the cork and insert a used long rod from a ballpoint pen into it. First you need to clean the rod from the remnants of the paste, using a wire and a piece of cotton wool soaked in cologne. For better tightness, cover with plasticine the place on the cork where the tube is inserted. The rod should not reach the middle of the bottle a little, and let its outer end rise a few centimeters above the cork. The hole of the end of the rod, which is inside the vial, must first be reduced in diameter. This can be done by inserting a cork from a piece of a match into it and piercing it with a thin needle.

Pour water into a saucepan, put a bottle in it (so that it does not float!) And bring the water to a boil. Let the water boil for a few minutes. While the water is boiling, prepare a glass of water on the table, tinted with red watercolor paint or a grain of potassium permanganate.

Put a piece of cardboard with a hole on the glass, into which the neck of a bottle or bottle with a ballpoint pen can enter.

Now you need to act decisively and quickly: remove the bottle from boiling water and, turning it upside down, insert it into the hole in the prepared cardboard on the glass, while the outer end of the rod will sink into the tinted water. From the tip of the rod in the vial, a thin colored stream of the fountain will begin to beat. When you boiled water, part of the hot air, expanded from heating, left the bottle, a rarefied space formed in it, and the external atmospheric pressure drove water from the glass into it. At the same time, a trickle of cold water also helped to cool the air inside the bottle and reduce its volume.

PrivatBank neutralized a group of skimmers 22.01.2012

On January 18, 2012 in Lviv, the security service of PrivatBank stopped the activities of an international group of scammers-skimmers who used overlays on ATMs to steal the personal data of cardholders. According to PrivatBank, the scammers were caught red-handed while removing the lining from the bank's ATM located in Lviv. They turned out to be two citizens of Romania, who were taken to the police. During the search, electronic means for skimming and plastic cards of various Ukrainian and foreign banks were seized from the suspects.

"It is rare for anyone to catch skimmers red-handed, but today we know how to catch them," said Stanislav Krizhanovsky, head of PrivatBank's security service. The task force of security left and detained the swindlers".

According to an investigation conducted by the bank's security service, by installing an overlay on various ATMs in Lviv, fraudsters managed to steal the data of 56 payment cards of customers of various banks. In the course of the analysis of video surveillance materials for the ATM network, the involvement of these persons in other facts of skimming in the Ivano-Frankivsk region was established, the amount of damage for which amounted to UAH 27.

The fraudsters will be prosecuted under Art. 200 of the Criminal Code (“Illegal actions with transfer documents, payment cards and other means of access to bank accounts, equipment for their manufacture”), and the detainees face two to five years in prison, PrivatBank reported.
