A new study by an international team of scientists has found that beer temperature has a significant impact on the perception of alcoholic taste. Autonomous X-ray machine with artificial intelligence 08.04.2022

Lithuanian company Oxipit, a developer of artificial intelligence (AI) medical imaging applications, has received CE Class IIb certification for ChestLink. This imaging tool independently reads chest x-rays without the participation of a radiologist and reports the results. It is the first regulatory-approved AI medical imaging application that performs diagnostics autonomously, the developer said.

ChestLink scans chest X-rays and automatically sends out reports of those patients it considers to be completely healthy. Any images that the tool flags as having a potential problem are sent to the radiologist for review. This will help reduce the workload for radiologists.

The Oxipit AI is now CE Class IIb certified by the EU, which certifies that the device meets safety standards. Certification is similar to US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval. But there are differences: getting the CE mark is easier, faster. Does not require as thorough an assessment as FDA approval.

The FDA reviews whether a device is safe and effective and will usually ask device manufacturers for more information.
