DC-DC converter SPB05 5W in SIP package

Mean Well has developed a new series of 5W DC-DC converters with output voltage stabilization - SPB05. The uniqueness of the series is the "packaging" of 5 watts of power in the SIP-8 package. As a rule, DC-DC converters with the specified power are already manufactured in a DIP-24 package. A feature of the SIP-8 package compared to the DIP-24 is a significantly smaller footprint on the board (about 1/3).

The SPB05 series converters have a 2:1 wide input voltage range, 1500 V input-output dielectric strength, short circuit and overload protection, remote On-Off capability and are operable in a wide temperature range of -40°C...+80°C.

The new SPB05 series of converters is designed for a variety of industrial and telecommunication applications, as well as for any other application that requires compact size and increased power over a wide temperature range.

- output power: 5 W;
- case type: SIP-8;
- dielectric strength of insulation: 1500 V;
- output voltage from the series: 5, 12, 15 V;
- input voltage range from a range: 9-18, 18-36, 36-72 V;

Speed ​​sensor VG481V1 13.08.2020

The new VG481V1 sensor from Honeywell is designed to measure the speed of rotation of a ferrous metal gear.

The sensor allows you to detect the fact of the passage of a gear tooth. The moving gear tooth changes the magnetic field created by the bias magnet, which is recorded by the Hall sensor. With dual-peak detection circuitry, the VG481V1 can measure the speed of the gear with high reliability.

The VG481V1 speed sensor is used in automotive transmissions and, in general, is applicable in any transmission and mechanisms where it is necessary to monitor the rotation of a ferrous metal gear.

The VG481V1 includes a voltage regulator, a clock generator, a Hall element, an amplifier, a high and low detection circuit, a comparator, and an output stage. The sensor is protected from abnormal operation at voltages below the minimum threshold, the output of the microcircuit is resistant to short circuits.

The power circuit is insensitive to reverse voltage polarity. When power is applied to the sensor, the trigger circuit does not allow operation until a stable reading is established. VG481V1 allows you to define zero rotation speed.

The sensor is available in a slim size TO-92.
