Gaming platform for virtual games Virtuix Omni

Virtuix Omni has announced the start of accepting pre-orders for its virtual reality platform. The project was previously spotted on the Kickstarter website, where it raised about $1,1 million, which exceeded expectations from fees by almost 10 times.

This device is a circular platform in which the user can control the movement and jumps of the game character, moving like on a treadmill.

The developers claim that their gaming platform in conjunction with the Oculus Rift virtual reality helmet will appeal to many gamers.

The Virtuix Omni platform pre-order price is $500. The price includes a special pair of shoes, straps for fixation, and equipment and software for tracking movements. Separately, it is noted that neither the Oculus Rift helmet nor the game controller are included in the package. Customers who pre-order now will receive the Virtuix Omni in September. Kickstarter fundraisers will be able to get the Virtuix Omni in July.
