Livescribe 3 pen for digitizing handwritten notes

Livescribe introduced the Livescribe 3 Smart Pen, which allows handwritten notes and drawings to be quickly digitized.

The novelty is aimed at owners of Apple gadgets, data exchange with which is carried out via Bluetooth 4.0 LE wireless connection. Claimed to be compatible with iPhone 5s/5c smartphones, iPad Air and iPad Mini 2 tablets, and fifth-generation iPod touch.

Livescribe 3 requires special paper. Notes can be supplemented with audio comments, which are recorded using the microphone built into the mobile device.

The information is transferred to a special application, where it can be edited, supplemented with photos, videos, etc. The pen is powered by a rechargeable battery, the charge of which is enough for 14 hours of use. Charging is via the USB port on the top of Livescribe 3.

The novelty is offered for $ 150 complete with a notepad for writing on 50 sheets, a connecting cable and an ink cartridge. For $200, you can buy a Pro Edition with a leather folder and a 100-sheet hardcover diary.

Scientists at the Carlos III University of Madrid have developed a technology to improve the accuracy of determining the location of a car on an electronic navigation map by 50-90%, according to CNet.
