No.1 N3 Advanced tablet phone with 21 MP camera

As you know, a Chinese company called No.1 (like some others) specializes in copying the design of mobile devices from other brands. For example, the No.1 S6 smartphone completely copies the design of the flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S4.

Another model called No.1 N3 Advanced has appeared in the company's assortment. This unit is a copy of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 tablet phone. According to the source, the No.1 N3 Advanced device is the world's first smartphone with a 21 megapixel camera.

The screen diagonal is 5,7 inches, the resolution of which is 1280 x 720 pixels. The heart of the tablet is a MediaTek MT6589T quad-core processor, clocked at 1,5 GHz. PowerVR SGX544 is responsible for graphics processing. The operating system is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The amount of RAM is 2 GB, and the built-in flash memory is 32 GB. There is a slot for microSD memory cards. In addition to the already voiced main camera with a resolution of 21 megapixels, which has autofocus and LED flash, there is a front camera with a resolution of 5 megapixels.

Tablet phone No.1 N3 Advanced is able to communicate in 3G networks and weighs 168 g and has dimensions of 151,2 x 79,2 x 8,3 mm. There are modules Wi-Fi standard 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth. The battery capacity is 2800 mAh. The price of the device is $300.

Molecular pathway found for critical cases of COVID-19 24.04.2022

An international team led by Chinese researchers has identified a molecular pathway that exacerbates the severity of critical COVID-19 cases, providing clues for a potential treatment for such cases.

A new study has shown that the fusion of coronavirus-infected lung cells can exacerbate inflammatory responses, thereby triggering immune signaling cascades in the lungs, which are a major factor in lung damage in patients with severe disease.

Scientists from the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and the Peking Union Medical College and their collaborators analyzed post-mortem patient samples. They found a correlation between critical cases of COVID-19 and a fusion of lung epithelial cells called pneumocytes, which has also been seen in macaques and cultured cells infected with the virus.

They then examined human embryonic kidney cells that either expressed the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein that causes COVID-19 or were infected with the spike protein-bearing vesicular stomatitis virus.

The kidney cells eventually fused and formed new cells with multiple nuclei and tiny micronuclei that triggered a DNA sensor in cell fluids. And the sensor, in turn, recruited a protein that activates the expression of genes encoding type I interferons. These, according to the study, are expected to possibly further support inflammatory signaling.
