Scientists combine brain cells and a silicon chip

This was done by specialists from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Calgary, who worked in collaboration with the National Research Council of Canada.

Unlike previous technological solutions for studying brain activity, the novelty allows interaction with many brain cells at the same time. Previously, scientists had the ability to monitor the work of only one or two cells.

A new study by an international team of scientists has found that beer temperature has a significant impact on the perception of alcoholic taste. The Voices of Humanity project is a new attempt to create a back-up repository of information about humanity. Scientists from the University of California are planning to use lasers to send plates into deep space containing messages from individuals, the DNA of some of the project's participants, and the sum of our knowledge of the world.

Scientists call this project the "backup of mankind", for which the universe acts as a cloud data storage.
Funding for the project is being raised through Kickstarter. Each person who has invested their funds gets the opportunity to send their personal message and DNA into space.

Small spacecraft carrying the message are expected to fly into space using directed energy, a laser technology that developers believe will make the first interstellar flights possible.
