To control the electrolyte level in the battery banks, you can use a simple device, the device of which is schematically shown in the figure. It consists of two rods (narrow strips of stainless steel) of different lengths, rigidly fixed in a 5...8 mm thick organic glass base, to which HL1 and HL2 incandescent lamps are connected. rated for the voltage corresponding to the voltage of the tested battery.

The glow of only one HL2 lamp will indicate that the electrolyte level in the bank is below normal, both lamps - the level is normal.
The brightness of the glow of the lamps depends on the number of batteries included in their power circuit.
