Recently, on a wide sale, you can find pocket PM receivers that work on head phones, the settings of which are controlled by just two "SCAN" and "RESET" buttons. When you press the first button, the receiver sequentially tunes in to the stations of the FM band, when you press the second button, it returns to the beginning of the range. Such receivers do not have scales.

Like all Asian products, such receivers have a variety of names, one of which is "MANBO-AS-707". Most of these devices are built on the 7088G chip - the Chinese analogue of the Philips TDA7088T chip.

FM receiver on a TDA7088T chip

The TDA7088T chip is a further development of the "TDA7000" theme, it is built on the same principle as well-known microcircuits such as K174XA34, K174XA42, that is, the superheterodyne path operates according to a low IF circuit, about 70 kHz, and the distortions that occur in this case are eliminated by the deviation compression system. The advantage of this method is the absence of IF circuits and piezo filters, since the role of the FSS is performed by active filters on the op-amp. The disadvantage, like the K174XA34, K174XA42, is that despite the low THD, the sound quality has characteristic flaws, and it cannot be called high. The difference between the microcircuit and the above is that it contains an automatic tuning device that generates a smoothly changing tuning voltage supplied to the varicap. The APCG system monitors the tuning, and when the station enters the APCG holding band, the tuning voltage is fixed at a steady level. Further, to go to the next station, you need to press the "SCAN" button again, and to return to the beginning of the range - press "RESET".

The microcircuit is made in a small-sized plastic case of the FP-16 type, with surface mounting leads. Structural and typical switching diagram is shown in the figure in the text. Subjectively, the sound quality of the "MANBO-AS-707" receiver built on the 7088G chip is the same as the sound quality of the receiver on the K174XA34, included according to the standard circuit.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

A new way of skin rejuvenation 30.06.2022

Scientists at the Haifa Institute claim to have found a way to make the skin of an elderly person young again - with the help of laboratory rodents.

The research was carried out by Dr. Aviad Keren, Dr. Yaniv Keren, Prof. Yehuda Ulman and Prof. Amos Gilhar of the Haifa Institute.

By transplanting old skin into young mice, they proved that it was possible to make the skin and other organs look young again by changing the molecular structure in all layers of the skin.

The team had previously transplanted aged human skin into young SCID mice, but they didn't know if the skin rejuvenation they observed extended below the epidermis. To determine this, they used vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A) to stimulate the rejuvenation of human organs in laboratory animals.

When old human skin was transplanted into young SCID mice, aging was reversed, confirming that all layers of human skin can become young again. In addition, the number of new blood vessels in the skin also increased.
