The device is designed to be used on a telephone line with two parallel SLTs connected and allows you to have an indication that another handset is off-hook, in addition to the one you are talking through.

The principle of operation of this scheme is based on the use of voltage changes in the telephone line when the handset is off-hook on two parallel SLTs simultaneously. If only one SLT is off-hook, the circuit works in the same way as described above, the HL1 LED is lit, and transistors VT1 and VT2 may be absent (Fig. 2.4). When you pick up the handset on another SLT, the voltage in the line will change by about 1 ... 5 V (this depends on the internal resistance of the installed telephones).

Transistor VT1 is an analyzer of the voltage level in the line, and its mode is set by resistor R2 (coarse adjustment is made by resistor R3) so that when the voltage in the line drops by 0,5 V, it goes from saturation mode to the locked state, which should lead to saturation of the transistor VT2 and stop the glow of the LED. This will be an indicator that your conversation may be monitored on a parallel SLT. In the normal state, when one tube is removed, HL1 should light up.

The topology of the printed circuit board and the arrangement of elements on it are shown in fig. 2.5. The board is designed to fit in a standard telephone jack (see the housing shown in Figure 2.3). Resistor R2 is small-sized, type SPZ-19a.

The device is pre-configured according to the method for the circuit in fig. 2.1, is connected to the line, observing the polarity, and the final setting is performed on the TL with resistor R2 at the moment when two handsets are off at once. In this case, the HL1 LED should go out.

Artificial leather for touch emulation 15.04.2024

In a modern technology world where distance is becoming increasingly commonplace, maintaining connection and a sense of closeness is important. Recent developments in artificial skin by German scientists from Saarland University represent a new era in virtual interactions. German researchers from Saarland University have developed ultra-thin films that can transmit the sensation of touch over a distance. This cutting-edge technology provides new opportunities for virtual communication, especially for those who find themselves far from their loved ones. The ultra-thin films developed by the researchers, just 50 micrometers thick, can be integrated into textiles and worn like a second skin. These films act as sensors that recognize tactile signals from mom or dad, and as actuators that transmit these movements to the baby. Parents' touch to the fabric activates sensors that react to pressure and deform the ultra-thin film. This ... >>

Petgugu Global cat litter 15.04.2024

Taking care of pets can often be a challenge, especially when it comes to keeping your home clean. A new interesting solution from the Petgugu Global startup has been presented, which will make life easier for cat owners and help them keep their home perfectly clean and tidy. Startup Petgugu Global has unveiled a unique cat toilet that can automatically flush feces, keeping your home clean and fresh. This innovative device is equipped with various smart sensors that monitor your pet's toilet activity and activate to automatically clean after use. The device connects to the sewer system and ensures efficient waste removal without the need for intervention from the owner. Additionally, the toilet has a large flushable storage capacity, making it ideal for multi-cat households. The Petgugu cat litter bowl is designed for use with water-soluble litters and offers a range of additional ... >>

The attractiveness of caring men 14.04.2024

The stereotype that women prefer "bad boys" has long been widespread. However, recent research conducted by British scientists from Monash University offers a new perspective on this issue. They looked at how women responded to men's emotional responsibility and willingness to help others. The study's findings could change our understanding of what makes men attractive to women. A study conducted by scientists from Monash University leads to new findings about men's attractiveness to women. In the experiment, women were shown photographs of men with brief stories about their behavior in various situations, including their reaction to an encounter with a homeless person. Some of the men ignored the homeless man, while others helped him, such as buying him food. A study found that men who showed empathy and kindness were more attractive to women compared to men who showed empathy and kindness. ... >>

OmniVision OV12890 sensor with 1,55 micron pixels 05.06.2016

OmniVision has introduced the OV12 12890-megapixel image sensor for high-end smartphone and phablet cameras.

The 1/2,3 inch sensor has 1,55 x pixels. 1,55 microns. The solution is made using proprietary PureCel Plus-S volumetric technology.

The OmniVision OV12890 sensor captures 12 MP (4096 x 3072 dots), 4K (3840 x 2160 dots), 1080p (1920 x 1080 dots) and 720p (1280 x 720 dots) resolutions. When working at maximum resolution, the shooting speed can reach 45 frames per second. When recording 4K material, this figure rises to 60 frames per second, and when using the 1080p format - up to 240 frames per second.

The sensor can be enclosed in a 10 x 10 x 6 mm module. In cameras based on it, a phase detection autofocus (PDAF) system can be used.

Trial deliveries of the OmniVision OV12890 sensor have already begun, and mass production is scheduled for the last quarter of this year.
